How Sweet The Sound

Listening to the album, you understand why George Beverly Shea is called '...America's beloved gospel singer...'It's terrific--hard to stop listening to praise for God.

If you like Christian music, you like George Beverly Shea. I would have liked to have a couple of lighter happier hymns mixed in with the old standard ones to brighten your spirits a little but I usually put on a few CD's at a time and set it at random so it all works out.I wouldn't say that listening to this CD when you are feeling depressed would make you feel better.

I was eager to receive this album when I heard Mr. Shay hd passed away. He had so impressed me as a child with his mellow voice! He is still impressive on this recording but I wished I had ordered one he made when he was younger. There are times his voice is sounding old. I still enjoy listening and will perhaps order an earlier recording!

George Beverly Shea has a magnificent voice and sing in Praise to the One True God

I purchased this CD for myself and I love it. I never get tired of listening to George Beverly Shea. He is so sincere and loves the Lord. I think I will be looking for another CD real soon. The music is very soothing and I think anyone would enjoy it. Also a great tool for spreading God's love.

Without a doubt, Bev Shea is the finest Bass/baritone I have had the pleasure listening to. The songs he shares take me on a journey to the most sublime areas of faith, love, peace and hope.

I am so glad I bought this CD it brings back very fond memories of hearing George sing as a young adult. I almost didn't buy it when one of the reviewers stated that it was evident that this was an old man singing it rather then a young George.This a beautiful music by a man who loved God and sang to his glory.I am sure I will spend many an hour drving being encouraged by his music.

Gift for my Daddy. He's always loved Mr. Shea's singing and saw him I person back in 1954. He was real happy with this CD.
