Programmable for 4 brand of radios--lets you retain the adapter if you decide to replace the radio.  The iPod2car Gen2 interface requires an aftermarket cable (sold separately).Compatibility & Notes: (Important, please read before purchasing) 1. The iPod2car Gen2 has been designed to perform optimally on radios capable of displaying multiple lines of text on their faceplate.2. Compatible Alpine Ai-Net radios must be satellite ready or, 2005 and newer radios must be equipped with "iPod mode" feature.3. If your Alpine radio does not have the "iPod mode", the iPod2car Gen 2 will not work with other external device such as a CD changer or satellite tuner.4. The iPod2car Gen 2 will not work on Pioneer or Kenwood radios with any other external device such as a CD Changer or Satellite tuner.5. The iPod2car Gen 2 is not designed to work on Sony radios with any other external device such as a CD changer or Mini Disc Changer.6. Cable requirements: Alpine- PXHAL2, Kenwood- PXHKN1, Pioneer- PXHPN1 and Sony- PXHSN1. Select one from below.
