Cable Matters [Intel Certified] 40Gbps Thunderbolt 4 Cable 2.6ft with 8K Video and 240W Charging - 0.8m, Compatible with USB4, Thunderbolt 3 Cable and USB-C

(At the time of this review these were selling for $28.99 for the .8m length - hopefully this will decline) Recently I purchased a Thunderbolt 4 system, docking station, and accessories and had to shop for cables that could support all USB and Thunderbolt data and charging modes. These are the first set I've purchased that actually consistently work at the maximum data throughput and power output supported by whatever they are connected to. It is a bit frustrating to once again be dealing with a set of standards where all USB C-type ports, cables, and accessories are different and not-necessarily backward compatible. It also means that we will likely be seeing more off-brand products misrepresenting their capabilities to get an Amazon sale. I would especially shy away from "USB 4" cables "claiming" to also be Thunderbolt compatible but lacking the certification as two other less expensive, generic cables I picked up were basically heavy-duty USB cables that could not consistently operate with genuine Thunderbolt devices. The price at the time of purchase was a bit off-putting as getting a pair of these into my road-warrior bag was a $60 investment, but as I've come to expect from Cable Matters products they are very well constructed and work as advertised. If you need the speed, power, compatibility and want to carry as few cables as you have to for traveling (or simply need true Thunderbolt 4 throughput and power), these cables will get the job done.

I got this cable specifically to plug my phone into my external monitor in my car so that I would not lose GPS signal when my phone was plugged into it. This cable does that well and after using this cable, no more GPS signal loss while using my monitor in my car! I can now use Samsung Dex and GPS in my car! It's a well made and properly insulated cable that prevents interference from the vehicles electrical system with the GPS in your phone. I just bought a second one for my other vehicle for that exact same reason. On a side note it's a great cable for other tasks that would require you to have a Thunderbolt 4 cable on hand!

don't fool around with cheap cables. fast data transfer, fast charging.

For highspeed, reliable data transfer, these are excellent. Whether using for a NVME adapter or direct thunderbolt network connection. Sub 0.3ms ping and straight 1.0gbps sustained file transfer on 80gb files. As for the length, please,.do not complain if you don't know why a shorter cable is required. You cannot sustain high speed, reliable data transfer over longer cables. The shorter, the better, especially for thunderbolt. These are high quality cables.

I've been using this cable with my 2019 MacBook Pro (4 Thunderbolt ports) and it's been a game changer. After months of frustration with various docks, KVMs, eGPUs, USB dongles, and a mountain of cables, nothing seemed to work reliably. I tried 4 docks, 3 eGPUs, 2 enclosures, and countless cables. Just as I was about to give up, I found this cable in my laptop bag, a backup I had ordered and forgotten about. Plugging it in, all my connectivity issues disappeared like magic. Most other Thunderbolt cables in this price range are braided, stiff......thick.....When shopping for "the best cable", you look at these cables and think "oh yeah this chonky boy will do" but it won't. It won't do. This cable is different. It's smooth and surprisingly flexible, it doesn't tangle easily, and the connectors slot in with a reassuring consistency. There's never any doubt about whether it's plugged in correctly. Despite unassuming appearance, it's rated for 240W power delivery and 40Gbps throughput (and it will indeed step up to the plate when needed) In a setup plagued with compatibility and connectivity issues, this cable emerged a hero. Whether it was a stroke of luck, divine intervention, or something I overlooked, this cable defeated over $500 of extra gear and a pile of other Thunderbolt Cables. For it's unwavering consistency, reliability, and overall performance, this cable gets a full 5 stars no question. Buy this cable.

Works well as intended.

High quality Thunderbolt 4 cable with a genuine Intel certification that you can check for yourself on the Thunderbolt website. Both Thunderbolt and USB compatible. I use mine for super fast charging my phone and for data transfers from a portable SSD. More flexible than USB4 cables that can do the same 40 Gbps data transfer rate / 240W charging; my USB4 cable in the same length that supports the same stuff is a bit stiffer. The Thunderbolt logos on either end of the cable are clearly labeled but the 240W charging label on the insulation is slightly difficult to see without looking very closely. Excellent cable overall.

Hands down the best USB C cable on the market. Fits like a snug, extremely flexible, & SUPER FAST CHARGING. Not to mention super fast data connection speed, isn't as clunky as it's predecessor cable but better very flexible & feels durable.. The $25 price is steep but it's worth the money than to gamble on lower tier cables. Cable Matters strikes again with a HIGH QUALITY CABLES

Lo compré para usar con un SSD samsung 980 pro y una carcasa Orico Thundebolt 4 hasta 40Gbps Cumple perfectamente con su función, y la velocidad estable es la máxima que establece el formato TB4 la velocidad de la caja y SSD son mucho mayores lo cual permite que la velocidad maxima siempre sea estable. Como detalle el cable que venia con la caja no funcionaba con la caja (tuve que pedir este) pero funcionaba con otros dispositivos... este sin embargo perfecto!

これまでCable Matters製のケーブルを使ってきて、特に問題が生じたことがなかったため、Thunderbolt 4ケーブルも同社製のものを購入した。 今の所、特に問題なく利用できている。 長さは 0.8 m のものを購入。 ケーブルはやや硬めであるが、短いものを選んだため、あまり不満に感じることはない。 よくケーブルを巻いて保管する人は、やわらかめのケーブルを選んだ方が良いと思う。 同じケーブルでも長さが色々選べるため、統一感を出したい人におすすめ。 また、端子に "4" と書かれており、一発でThunderbolt 4規格と識別できる点も魅力の一つである。
