None of my crappy ideas worked. 😂 Finally got the bright idea to see if anyone on YouTube had a video on this topic. Lo and behold, there were several videos covering a variety of issues. One guy showed exactly how these little replacement pins work and how easy they are to install. Had to get my better half to use the drill to remove the old wooden pin, which he mentioned you might need to, in his instructions. Another good tip he mentioned is to use a credit card to keep the spring-loaded part of the pin pushed in as you slide the slat back into place against the frame.
