Lots of features in a small footprint
I've been using the Novation Circuit Tracks for a few months now, and I have to say, it’s been a fantastic addition to my music-making setup. Right out of the box, it felt intuitive. The layout is user-friendly, which is great for someone like me who enjoys diving into creativity without a steep learning curve. The built-in synth tracks sound amazing. I love how easily I can tweak the parameters to create unique sounds. The drum tracks are fun to work with, too. The pads feel responsive, and programming beats is straightforward. I appreciate the flexible sequencing options, which allow me to experiment with different patterns without feeling restricted. What’s really cool is the MIDI functionality. It lets me hook up my other gear and expand my setup seamlessly. It's versatile enough for both live performances and studio recordings, which I find very convenient.Overall, if you're looking for a compact groovebox that doesn’t skimp on features, the Novation Circuit Tracks is definitely worth considering. It’s made my music-making process a lot more enjoyable and creative!

Small, light, portable with great sounds and excellent midi control. I love it.

Shockingly well designed piece of tech
I love this Groovebox. This little gadget is suprisingly capable if you spend time to learn it. It's fun to use, has plenty of input/ output ports, it's small and portable with built in battery and you can connect it to other equipment. I spent far too much time with it making some silly beats. It could use additional synth channel but if you are creative you can work around it. Bottom line is - if you want to use it on it's own - you absolutely can and make full song on it. Per channel fader would be nice though - it only has master one. If you embrace it's limitations, the workflow is suprisingly logical. You can upload you own pre-cut samples, adjust and build synths. The only downside is no export option - you will have to figure this out by connecting to PC and live record. But it's a groovebox after all. Almodst perfect.

Great price atm and a good piece of equipment .. BUT ...
BE WARNED: I was sent a Rhythm and not a Tracks. I actually contacted customer services and kept the Rhythm since it's a good piece of kit BUT I'm wondering if the current price point has something to do with that.Based on how good the Rhythm is I am now tempted to risk a reorder BUT will probably go for something a bit more expensive given I primarily want more midi tracks.

Exactly what you hope it will be and more!
There are many cool things about this device but I think the best is the way you can pick it up for 5 mins at a time when you get the chance and it's immediate fun. Once you get your head around the UI you can make great sounds and tunes really quickly. I don't have time to write a massive review but I can say that this is a much better bet than a midi keyboard and computer set up. I have spent ages just making a pattern that repeats then tweaking the sound with the various knows and adding delay and reverb. You can get lost in this for hours but you can also get your fix in 5 mins as the machine boots up in 10 seconds, is portable and the sound quality is astounding, proper professional stuff. It's just about the perfect gadget. Beautifully made, loads of coloured lights, totally self contained. For what it does it is fairly priced. If you're thinking about it, go for it. This is one purchase you won't get bored or frustrated with because there's literally no set up time. Its completely self contained. You can play with it for 2 minutes or two hours. Buy some good head phones!

Versatile and iniuitive
A great sounding sequencer and sound module, very versatile with midi and sync connections, two synth tracks, two MIDI tracks and four drum tracks. Intuitive to use, you can create complete songs in a short space of time.

An excellent product!
This unit is imo an absolutely excellent tool for working quickly and is so well specced at the back to,inputs & outputs etc..You really have to test it for yourself to see how good it is.Once youve wrapped your head around the basics you can really get to town with it and get some good results quickly and in realtime.I think the sound quality is excellent as well.I highly recommend this unit and i am considering getting the rythym version as well.A*****

Love it!
New to making music electronically, so needed something easy to jump in & fun. This is exactly what I was looking for and more.Only thing I didn't check at the time of purchase was the fact that it doesn't come with the wall charger that is Australian standard 2 or 3 prong plug head. It has 3 interchangeable ones for Europe I believe. But that's my fault.Other than that love it!

Great device with a fun interface
Mixer, synth, drum machine, hardware DAW all in one. Very intuitive and fun interface. Works great as a DAWless option to control hardware. The built in synth isn't the greatest but usable and custom patches can be made in the editor. The reverb on this device is fantastic. Really fun product. The only thing I wish is if you can disable CC signals from the play button since external synths can trigger this and play when you don't want it to.

Amazing groovebox
I've used Korg Volcas for years, connected them together to have rythm, synth and bass which means lots of cables and literally a hundred knobs/buttons and never produced anything that sounded as good as my first attempt on the Circuit Tracks. My poor wife has listened to (been subjected to?) this process for years and when I played my first "track" from the Tracks she was really impressed, saying it sounded, "professional, like something you would actually hear in a movie" which is a real complement from her. She and my five-year-old danced in the living room while I played it. In addition, it was just a lot of fun making that first track, just me and one device jamming out; really cool.Prior to purchase I looked at groove-boxes from Roland, MPC, Elekton etc., and, based on price, flexibility and reviews I went with the Circuit Tracks. I watched tutorial videos (YouTube and Novation have a good number) and was pretty familiar with the device before it arrived. This definitely made for a more enjoyable experience when I finally had this thing in my hands. One of my favorite features is the ability to connect it to you computer and use the Components (free from Novation) software to download new sound-packs. You can download some free stuff from Novation or purchase sound-packs (they're not expensive) for the types of music you like. Isotonik Studios has some good ones. This allows you to change the sound of the Tracks to suite your music style and means the device does not have a fixed sound, and almost seems like a new groovebox after you change the sound packs.Cons: Recording. You get an awesome (to you) sounding track and want to record it and export it to a format (mp3 etc) that you can play on other devices? I won't go into the details, but it's not easy. There are some good videos from Gabe Miller Music (great source of info) on YouTube on how to get your track off the Tracks, but it's a process and requires additional equipment.Overall, this is a very user-friendly device and just fun to play around with. I felt like I was making songs that sounded really good quickly. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get into making their own music.
