Well made, easy to assemble, fits together perfectly. I love that all the parts for the hive are wax dipped. It looks great! Now we have to wait till spring to see if the bees like it!

I have wanted a bees wax dipped hive for awhile, the rest of mine are painted white. I have always enjoyed the natural look. After looking at several hives I chose this one because it had the pre drilled screw holes. Having never put one together before I wanted to know exactly where I should have screws. This was a great hive to start with in building them myself because in the past I have always bought assembled. It went together easily and the only thing I had to buy was wood glue. Other hives often need to have screws and nailed purchased to put together. It is great quality and I love the dove tail joints. If I can put this hive together then anyone can do it. The only negative was a small one. I believe that they burn their logo into the wood after it has been dipped. It left some bare spots without wax (see my second picture). I fixed this by melting some additional wax that I already had into these spots. I will definitely buying additional hives and boxes in the future.

Excellent quality, easy to assemble and holds up well in the heat or rain. You won't regret this purchase! Its a great value and works perfectly as far as frames fitting perfectly. I love the natural color and the wood doesn't smell or scare the bees.

Being a second time return to purchase a beehive box says it all. The assembly was easy because all of the components are provided. Yes, I can recommend this product with the added suggestion that you know how to handle a colony or swarm of bees awhile implementing his fantastic utility or have someone that does help you. Bee safe, bee calm and behave!

It's a good quality hive but of a basic design. In short order we have replaced some of the parts, especially the bottom, which does not have a slide-out tray and is, therefore, difficult to inspect, clean, and use for tracking varroas. Does not come with an inner top cover. It's good to have around in case a swarm shows up and needs emergency housing.

Great material and construction.

This was a wonderful project to put together with the family and our first Hive! It was prewaxed and comes with frames! The boxes fit together like a puzzle and secured with screws. (Their are two different sizes, long and short screws.) Also remember that two nails can be used to secure the top part of the frames and 1 on the bottom. We glued them together before nailing them. I like how sturdy the box is and the ladies seem to love their new home. They collected alot of honey in no time! I think it's because of the faux prefabricated comb in the frames. Less work for them to make. We loved the boxes so much we got 2 more in anticipation of a Spring split. Totally worth the money! Our first harvest was decent!

We're new beekeepers and recently purchased some hives to prepare for the arrival of our nucs in a few months. These hives seem to me to be good quality. I did have a couple pieces that were damaged in shipping. I contacted MayBee with pics. They replied very quickly and offered to send me replacement pieces, which arrived within a week. Great customer service👍 I will definitely be doing more business with them. Very happy with my hives 🐝🛖💝
