EGO POWER+ Cordless Electric Leaf Blower, 615 CFM, With Battery - LB6151

Honestly, I could not love this leaf blower more! It is so powerful and makes yard clean up SO much easier. I put off buying this, based solely on the expense, but let me tell you, it was worth the money. I can use it from full power battery until it's dead, and the leaf blower never gets too heavy or hard to maneuver. I use this at my house and then I also throw it in the back of my car to take to my cabin so I can use it there as well. I am looking forward to seeing how it does this fall with all my leaves. I will say that when I use it on turbo mode, it drains the battery a lot faster (which is to be expected) but the difference in the capabilities between the two modes is worth it when dealing with a heavier pile of leaves/yard clippings. I also have an Ego weed eater, and the batteries are interchangeable, which is extremely handy, as I can be using one and charging the other to not lose progress in my work.

Absolutely love this a little heavy but for the power, minor issue. It works extremely well and you can adjust the power lever. When you hit heavy debris, you have an easily accessible power button with your thumb that gives you full force power. This saves you a lot of battery time. Compared to a gas blower, it’s as powerful and so much quieter .

This tool works great! The battery lasts a long time and it does a great job blowing off the patio. I was concerned that it might be too heavy for me but it’s not that heavy. Great price for a great product!

First, a couple of tips regarding model and battery selection: Unless you are someone who ultimately just needs to have the most powerful offering available, or believes that your equipment has two speed settings (on and off), then save yourself a little money and give the 615 model serious consideration. Under normal use, you won't be using either model at anywhere near their full power settings, except for maybe one or two brief shots. If this will be an addition to other Ego tools that you own, consider the 2.5Ah battery. The battery comprises roughly half of the weight or more for the tool in its usable state. The 2.5Ah battery charges up in 20 minutes on a rapid charger, and if you need to continue working instead of taking a short break, a larger battery such as the 7.5Ah from a lawn mower will easily let you continue while the small battery is recharging. Your arm will definitely let you know about the additional weight of the larger battery, though. The 2.5Ah is about the right size for runtime on a typical work/break interval, but very likely will not get you through a typical yard clean-up job on one charge. Ideally a pair of 2.5Ah would be a good solution for near-continuous use (one charging, one on the tool) and still keeping the tool at a lighter overall weight. Yet, the batteries are the largest cost in this system, so using one from another tool when going non-stop is an acceptable compromise. If this is your first Ego product, then yes, seriously consider the 5Ah battery with the rapid charger. Just be mindful that the tool will be roughly a couple pounds heavier in use. As for the blower, well, it blows...well even. I usually turned the "cruise control" knob to a low to moderate setting and squeezed the variable speed trigger to increase the speed when working a larger cluster or stubborn leaves in a taller patch of grass. When working a developed pile, just turn the speed up or use the trigger more. I rarely found myself ever using the "turbo" button on top, which provides the tool's maximum power. This is the reason for my model recommendations above, though I also recognize that everyone's needs are a little different. Design-wise, the tool feels the most balanced in your hand with the smaller battery, though putting a 7.5Ah battery doesn't necessarily feel awkward, just heavier. An eyelet for an optional shoulder strap might be a nice design consideration for the next generation. For storage, there is a teardrop screw/bolt book on the bottom side for hanging up the tool. It's in a spot that can be a little hard to find when hanging since it's on the bottom and not readily visible. The tool hangs well with the battery installed, but maybe a little more precariously without the battery as the center of gravity changes significantly (again, the battery is roughly half of the weight of the tool). I'd recommend to Ego to include a basic snap bracket that secures the barrel while in storage to provide a more secure two-point wall mount. I was concerned reading a number of review of premature failures. I've used mine for several hours thus far without issue. While there certainly could be a design weakness, I also suspect that there are a few users that run the tool full-out for the entire capacity of the battery. The motor and the MOSFET electronics probably run pretty hot at high speed, and rely upon the blower to provide some level of cooling for both. If using at a higher speed for longer periods of time, it probably would be prudent to run the tool at a low speed for a minute or so before turning it off completely to help cool down the motor and electronics. Overall, it's another solid offering from Ego, a great way to cut the cord from an electric and an even better way to avoid another piece of gas power equipment that normally would see very seasonal/sporadic use and suffer from the problems with that usage pattern.

Well, as with any purchase of substantial cost I first referred to Consumers Reports. I found the July+August 2025 issue (page 92) which covered the whole spectrum of leaf blowers and this Better Deal mini-report (see scanning photo included) ended the product research. There is no need to consider any other unit of this air moving capacity. The EGO Power+ LB6151 615 CFM variable speed is precise and the trigger hold feature is so nice when you don’t want to hold the trigger as when using it to blow air remotely without holding it. I also purchased another battery pack (ORHFS 56V 7.5Ah Replacement)– available on Amazon as well of larger capacity. Also these batteries can be used with many other attachments. I purchased the EGO flood light which will illuminate a room with varying color temperature and intensity. So good for power blackouts or lighting a working area away from AC power outlets. I also purchased the Sealegend Car Drying Nozzle Compatible with EGO Leaf Blower Models 530 575 580 615 650 6 available on Amazon for $26. It is so worth the extra expense as it makes the unit so much more maneuverable and easy to use for most all your blowing needs. One morning last winter I found about an inch of fresh dry powder snow to deal with covering my deck. Well this leaf blower with the Sealegend attached made the whole process so fast and easy. No hassle with shovels or push broom – snow removes much faster than leaves so the whole removal process was completed quickly. I would absolutely recommend wearing ear plugs as it does scream quiet loudly. The best ear plugs I have ever found are the LYSIAN Ultra Soft Foam Earplugs for Sleep also available at Amazon- These are very comfortable expandable foam earplugs which expand slowly enough that one can insert in you ear canal before it grows too big to fit in correctly and these make the environment silent and one has enough extras to share with others. To summarize, EGO power tools are so versatile with so many to chose from that one need look no further.

This thing has power enough to blow the thickest leaves, even when wet. When our gas blower gave up the ghost, we were looking for something electric for ease of starting and lighter weight. Though this one is not that much lighter, it is WAY easier to start. The battery lasts long enough to blow leaves over about half of our very large yard before needing to charge. But it only needs a little over 30 minutes to charge, so you hardly get to finish your break. Plus, we have 2 extra batteries from our string trimmer and chain saw, so plenty of power to last a lot longer than we will. This one is easy to carry, even for a short person, and the longer nozzle lets you get closer to the leaves on the ground without bending or stooping. Overall, we are very pleased with this blower. I would not recommend it for a true professional who needs ultra-high power all day. But for the average homeowner it is more than sufficient.

This blower is legit powerful. The turbo mode blasts through wet leaves like nothing. I used it after a heavy rain and it cleared my driveway no problem. Battery lasts way longer than I expected. I did my whole yard and still had juice left. The variable speed is nice too - you don't need full blast for everything. Super quiet compared to my old gas blower and no dealing with fuel or pull cords. Just grab it and go. Only complaint is it took a FULL MONTH to get here. That was annoying. But now that I have it, it's great. If you can deal with the wait, definitely worth it. This thing rips.

As I did mention in another post, I do like this brand. It makes it easier to go from one piece of equipment to another, using the same batteries and charging mechanism. We have a chainsaw, a blower and trimmer. This review is mainly about the leaf blower. It is cordless with a 56 V battery. You will definitely build some arm strength if you use this without a strap over your shoulder to help alleviate some of the weight. The turbo function is pretty intense and works really well. You can take this thing apart and use it anywhere. Check video below. You have an automatic on which you can set the blowing speed from low to high. You can also use the trigger and the secondary trigger which is for a turbo function. Very durable, it has a stand on the bottom and it is 615 CFM. I liked the device and we will continue using it.
