Best boots I have ever had. I broke these in doing a 40 mile hiking trip in the Smoky Mountains. I know that was a gamble but boots felt perfect right out of the box. No blisters or sores. Very light and breaths well. Can highly recommend these boots.

To break in new boots, our son started wearing them around the house with thick socks for so many days. He still complains his feet are hurting. He went to the academy so he did not have a long time to brake in. I hope they will be comfortable the more he uses it. If you are buying this for military purposes please buy them a month before. So you can wear them comfortably

I wear a size 11 boot, and tried a 10-1/2 per the mfg's recommendation. They still fit a 1/2 size too large, so for my size, I needed to go one full size lower. Other than that, the boots are very well built, the choice and style of leather + synthetic design is great, and the toe box is larger than most military style boots. However, they are not as large as say Keen's hiking boots if you know what I mean. They are just right. Breaking in will take about 10 miles of rucking or hiking and with what socks are best. I wear a medium weight merino wool variant.

This boot is significantly lighter that other combat boots in the Belleville series (e.g., C390, C300), and is much more comfortable. If you are looking for a Belleville combat boot, the C320 One Xero is definitely the way to go. The sizing is difficult, I recommend that you order a size and a size and a half down from your running shoe size. The boot is somewhat narrow, so if your feet are even a little wide, consider ordering the wide; my feet are on the narrow side, and the width was snug. Some variation in finish and quality between different boots. Not sure that this is the best hiking boot, but will be a great work boot. Overall a comfortable and lightweight boot, can wear all day without fatigue.

I was displeased by the QA/QC on these boots. I have owned a pair of Belleville 320s before and they held up well in long field exercises and rucks. I opened the box to find a couple cosmetic issues and a functional issue. The top of the left boot looked like it had been burned or rested against a hot surface to where it left the leather crispy (cosmetic). There were threads coming out of where the boot met the tread on the bottom, sticking out from the glue and just hanging around (cosmetic). One boot had an area that was obviously not sewn well or caught in QC as the stitching did not match the other boot and looked very weak as well with longer stitches that were sticking up, just waiting to become an issue in the field or on a ruck. I am disappointed but plan to order another pair and "try again" before I ditch this brand because $205 is not cheap enough to overlook mistakes like this.
