Planetes Omnibus Volume 2 Paperback – May 10, 2016

It's an awesome addition to my collection. Especially with manga That is no longer in print. And becoming much harder To get in the secondary market. Worth reading

We see a lot less of Hachimaki in this volume and instead see the experiences of the people he's close to. We see Fays ' personal life and past, flashback sequences of Hachis father in his youth and other life experiences of the characters. It's different than what we were introduced to with the first volume but I enjoyed it, a lot. I'd like to read more mangas like it.

Interesting Japanese story line, it really wasn't what I expected but it was good reading. have to get use to reading back to front and right to left.It is less a story about space than it is about humans emotion and the effects of stress on the psyche. Translation was pretty good

Excellent translation and size for omnibus edition, printed on thick quality paper with glossy color inserts; although I have no idea why editing the name of the gas station if this publisher is trying to keep this manga as the author intended (?), easy to overlook though.

This book was amazing and it was so good that when I was done it almost broke my heart. Yukimura tells a real story in great writing with the concepts laid bare. I would recommend this to anyone who loves manga, space exploration, comics, or literature.

Simply put the second iteration of the series fleshes out all the characters and ties them together with clean story archs and well written dialogue. I love this manga, go ahead and do yourself a favor and read it.
