This is in heavy sugar syrup....
When I ordered this I didn't know it would come in a can packed in heavy syrup. I thought it was going to be that dry type of coconut. Live and learn. The first ingredient is sugar. That means there's more sugar than coconut (the second ingredient). The third ingredient is corn syrup. They add that to prevent the sugar from crystallizing. Last on the list is water, just enough so it doesn't form a solid mass. I haven't opened it yet. I got it to make a fruit cake that calls for grated coconut. The recipe is from the 30s so I don't know if this is what they had in mind. If the can is full of worms or something I'll edit my review. Who knows? It might be exactly what I want in which case I'll adjust the 4 stars to 5.

Too Expensive
Confused I thought I would be receiving 3 cans for price not one. Would never pay over $11.00 for I can of sweetened coconut.... feel duped.

Beat Birthday Deadline
