Fabriano91230020 Tape Binding Acid-Free Cold Press Studio Watercolor Pad, 12 Sheets, 140 Pound, 8"x10"

This review is for the 8x10, 12 sheets, 140 lb. 25% cotton, cold pressed paper by Fabriano. Paper pad arrived on time and as described. I have not used it yet but it arrived in good shape and was not bent or damaged. There is a very thick piece of cardboard at the back which may have helped a lot in shipping. The paper is quite thick and is glued at the top for easy removal. No messy glue or any issues. The color is more cream than white and has texture on both sides that appears to be the same or very close. Photo attached. Hope this helps!

This paper isn’t as good as Arches 100% cotton, but especially works for my smaller floral watercolors.

This paper is perfect and I love the pad that it comes in. Good size for practice paintings.

I realized after I started using this paper that it is only 25% cotton! So, if you are doing a lot of wet on wet watercolor, this is not for you! It works ok for wet on dry. That is how I will be using it.

I do enjoy painting on this paper. I am a novice to watercolor (2 years) so I still have a lot to learn but I love how the watercolor flows and bleeds on the paper. Also the grain shows through if you look closely. Also, you can paint on either side. That's nice watercolor paper!

This is my first experience with a watercolor paper with any cotton content. I'm relatively new to the medium, and this paper made a huge difference. The paint actually flows like what I see in instructional videos. If you're new to watercolor, and frustrated with your wood-based paper, I would recommend giving this a shot. I deducted one star because a corner of the pad was slightly bent.

I got this along with some art markers for my cousin. she enjoys drawing in markers but the computer paper she uses bleeds through. That affects her drawings and of course makes a mess on whatever is below.This book arrived in flawless condition, on time, and it is good quality.

Having just returned to my drawing board after a long absence I was in need of some watercolor paper. When I read the description and saw the reasonable price of Fabriano,I ordered it. I have done two paintings on my Fabriano cold press and am very pleased.Taping controlled the curling and I am ready to frame my masterpieces. I was able to maneuver the watercolor well and mixing media (watercolor and colored pencil) worked well on the surface. If you haven't used Fabriano you need to give it a whirl.
