Srixon Z-Star XV Golf Balls (Prior Generation)

So much fun watching this ball roll on the green! But most importantly, is the distance I get with these! I would buy these again.

I usually play Pro-V or TP5 (x for both) and I have come to the conclusion that a) I am not good enough to get the full advantages that these balls offer, and b) I am spending a whole lot on golf balls. This ball has all of the features I DO enjoy from the balls listed above, with a cheaper price tag (and a cool two-tone). The distance off the tee is around the same. The only difference in my opinion is that these balls have slightly less spin around the green. Overall I am thrilled with the performance for a 4 piece urethane ball. When I get sick of the divides I will just play the regular old white Z-star XVs, and be confident that my game will not change and my wallet will thank me.

The Srixon Z Star XV is a phenomenal golf ball! The divide color way makes the ball much easier to find in the thick stuff. The price point around $32 also makes these a great value for tour level performance. The XV is a firmer feeling ball that still shows reliable spin and performance around the green.One star is dropped for the lack of accuracy in photos and item description versus what was received. The photos show the 2021 (8th generation) ball, while the description showcases the 2023 (9th, current generation). I received the 4-piece 2021 version. Both versions are spectacular, so it’s not a huge concern. However, this should be updated to ensure shoppers are receiving the accurate item.

These balls are durable. 1 ball alone has lasted me over 18 holes with no apparent signs of scuffing or any damage whatsoever. Granted I have not hit many trees or cart paths etc. I am a high handicapper and these balls suit me well. I look for 4 piece balls due to their stop and drop technology on the greens and these balls deliver just like Pro V1xs. I honestly do not recall a Pro V1x lasting me this long without having to stop play with it and turn it into a practice ball only, so I will say these balls seem to outlast a Pro V1x.

Whether the ball is multi color or white the Z Star XV has become my favorite high end (quality, not price) golf ball. I love it off of the tee, it sticks on iron shots and performs exceptionally well around the green. The price makes it a wise choice for me over other higher priced high end balls. Until another ball steps up and convinces me otherwise, I will choose this ball.

Love the feel of these balls coming off the club. Soft ball and go the distance. They also allow me to see them better in the woods lol
