Très classe...belle Barbie.

Let's start off mentioning she's absolutely beautiful! Pale skin and light hair, coupled with a darling tutu of soft pastel colors, and soft tiny ballet shoes makes her appear as the perfect ballerina! I wanted to write this review specifically to let others know about her strange flexibility: Her arms and her legs have no bending joints at all, but are all left in an elegant stretch with delicate curves by the hands and feet. The arms and legs can move up an down and all around from the shoulders and hips (the legs are able to do all sorts of splits and they move fluently), but it's the BALL joint at the waist that makes this doll so delightful as a ballet doll; This joint at her waist makes Barbie able to do a number of beautiful ballet-like poses and introduces a different kind of flexibility that I've not seen ever with American dolls, especially Barbie. This joint, coupled with her long, easy to move legs, makes this doll very fun to play with! I should note the shoes, even when tied, come off easily and can get lost in no time... The top of her dress is not so secure either, so when she is doing certain dramatic poses, she'll be flashing everybody! I remedied that little problem by sewing a very simple string strap on the ballet top that goes around her neck. Her hair is also done beautifully, with some small, tight and intricate little curls! Very pretty! Definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking to play with her, either roughly or however you want, because she'll hold up like any Barbie doll should!
