Good intro tester to have at home.
I bought one before and it had some issues. It did not measure even after changing batteries or following all instructions. Got another one , And it works fine. Measures the voltage of a 9 volt battery correctly. And also a 18 volt Milwaukee battery. This is a good inexpensive tester and recommend for occasional home use and hobbyists. Great for fixing things at home.

Great bang for the buck. Works well -- no need to spend more.
A great meter. Can't beat it for the price. The back light option and the kickstand are very worthwhile features. It runs on 2 AAA cells rather than the usual oddball 9v cell which I greatly appreciate. The accessories it comes with are curious -- of no value to me at all.

Good for beginners, limited for experts.
Great for beginners that aren't sure if they want to fully commit to electronics repair. Cheap enough to justify for a casual hobby, but enough stuff included to justify the purchase. If you decide this hobby isn't for you, you will still find some use out of some of the parts. If you decide you will go "all-in" on this hobby, you are likely to advance to better equipment within a few years. The mini screwdrivers are useful for glasses and audio cassette disassembly, so if you abandon this hobby, you can still get use out of this purchase.

Bargain & Works As Expected
Bottom-line: This item is as described, works as expected for my purposes, and a great value for the low cost. I thank buyer, gwat1usn, for his/her review, which prompted me to purchase this multi-meter.This is my first ever multi-meter, which I intend to use primarily for voltage measurement of button/coin cell and common household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9 volt). My order came in a factory-sealed product box and contained all the items listed in the first product-listing photo. I was not expecting much for the low cost of the product. However, upon opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised with the packaging and quality of the contents, especially the multi-meter. The multi-meter has all the features outlined in the product listing and includes both a small instructions booklet and info sheet with a download link to a more detailed 51 page instructions PDF (e-book) file. Two PKCell brand AAA batteries power the unit I received, which is a well-regarded battery brand.I tested both fresh and old batteries, and all the voltage readings seem to be correct according my newfound knowledge of battery testing and results from my online research. That coupled with the PDF instructions file, using this device was easy to understand and use.If you are looking for an entry-level low budget multi-meter, you will not go wrong with this one.

Incredibly handy tool -- while it lasts
I've abused this little gadget since I bought it for all sorts of electrical needs around the house: checking to see if a car battery is dead or just discharged, testing various outlets, ensuring my capacitors are still good on my appliances, and countless more situations. It's been one of the handiest tools since purchasing my home, and has saved my butt and my wallet on several occasions. The only issue I've had with it is that after the first couple of months, I noticed that the knob was getting harder to turn. I figured I was just a little bit weaker, but it's now gotten to the point where it almost won't move at all and is therefore no longer functional. For the price I paid, I think it has served me well. While it's obviously not a "buy it for life" device, I still hate to have to purchase another one and contribute to more electronic and plastic waste.
