I ordered both the Guinness and the Bailey's Irish Creme for my wife's 75th birthday...both were absolutely excellent. they arrived packaged well and in good condition. They were moist and the first sniff of the Guinness let us know that it would have the classic beer taste. I preferred the Irish Creme...but both were so tasty. The cakes are not large, but one is more than enough for two people ...yeah we ate them both rather quickly and were stuffed for the remainder of the evening...but satisfied... as much as you can be in your 70s!!!

The flavor of this cake is an interesting combination of chocolate and stout. It’s not overly sweet in spite of the chocolate but that’s mostly due to the way the stout echoes the sharpness of darker chocolate. A very moist base for ice cream and as such a very nice, adult in more ways than one, birthday cake.

This has a great smell as all Guiness cakes should but I'd suggest putting it in the fridge before trying it. The first piece had a mealy texture and crumbled badly but setting it in the fridge seemed to help. It was okay for a one time purchase.

👍 really as expected.. plenty of beer flavour but still rich and chocolatey, not Overly sweet but sweet enough.. really a rich moist cake.. 👎 price Tasty, as in so tasty, we mowed it b4 i could snap a pic.. Overall, great gift idea, nicely packaged, might get once a year, but price is kinda high... although i was glad it was size i pictured and not as small as some reviews made me think it would be.. 🍻🍻🍻🍻

This was an awful purchase. Mine wasn't expired and tasted okay... totally average, not rich and chocolate stout-like, but just okay. Nothing to rave about. However, the loaf pan it is packed in was 25% larger than the cake itself. The cake was baked in the pan, but somehow separated during shipping and collapsed on itself. It's as if the shipping box was on its side and, due to gravity, the cake fell down to its bottom, which was actually the short side of the cake pan, and set that way. It most definitely is not giftable or even servable if you care how it looks. If you just want cake, it's definitely okay, but not fantastic. It is rich in texture and moist, though, but isn't as rich in flavor. I wouldn't buy again.

This guinness cake is tasty, It is not sweet and it does taste like the Guinness stout. Also it is a great buy.

Bought this for my boyfriend's birthday and he loved it so much it was all gone by day 2!

I read reviews of this product before I bought it. I saw some good and some bad but I thought well benefit of the doubt I'll buy it too. It sounded pretty good. When this cake arrived and we opened it up I was so disappointed. The cake was not fully cooked. It had shifted to one end of the container it came in and it was gooey. We tasted it and I thought that was the worst thing I've ever eaten. I would hesitate to buy another cake that says it's got liqueur in it.
