Fangs Metal Distortion

I love this pedal - for the money it does a really great job and you can get excellent tones out of it. I prefer the 'fat' setting - superb for metal, especially when complimented with an overdrive. I've got a dialed-down Boss SD-1 just before it, and it really fills out the tone. I run all of my pedals through the clean channel on a Laney Ironheart, and this pedal has now earned a place on my board. I have other 'higher end' distortion pedals (some are just over-rated due to their name IMO), but this is actually my current little favourite, I just find it really easy to dial in the tones I like. Others may disagree of course, because tone is so subjective, but if you are looking for a well made budget distortion pedal that does what it's supposed to then you can't really go wrong with this one. Good pinch harmonics and thrashy chugs can be obtained all day long here!! Happy shredding :-)

とてもよく歪むハイゲインなディストーションです。トーンコントロールの調整幅も広く使いやすいです。 歪みを少なくしてクランチサウンドを作ろうとしても歪みすぎるので汎用性は低いですが、メタルの方には最適ですね。ミドルの調整が3段階あり、分かりやすくて使いやすいです。音いいよ。ノイズ少ない。電気の消費量が多いから注意してください。

Bon clairement, on va pas se mentir, c'est du matos premier prix ! Oui mais ! Cette distorsion a plus d'un tour dans son boitier (y'a du métal, et du plastique) ... Ça parait solide, le switch nickel réagi bien au pieds, même si il est surprenant de constater que l'effet se met en route sur le retour du switch et non sur le "click" de l'enclenchement du switch ... Bref je me comprends ;) Néanmoins cela ne gène pas, bien au contraire, je dirais que cela peut être un avantage (à découvrir) ! Passons au son : C'est là que tout se joue, et c'est pour ça qu'on l'achète ! Et la surprenante et efficace avec ses trois modes (déjà décrit dans les commentaires) vous alors le choix entre du style moderne, vintage, ou mix je dirais ! avec ces quatre potards de réglage il a de quoi régler le son assez facilement et creuser comme il faut sans perdre en profondeur et clarté ... Le rapport qualité prix est dingue ;) Après je l'ai tester que sur de la tête lampes et hybride ( ENGL firewall, Orange Dark terror et PRS MT 15 baffle en stéréo V3O 1X12 et c'est une pédale qui sonnera qu'avec cette configuration là, car avec un ampli transistor cela sonnera creux et plat et la pédale n'a pas le pouvoir de réchauffer du transistor ! Mais oh ! a ce prix là, faut pas pousser ;) en résumé à ce prix là, n'hésitez pas une seule seconde, vous aurez un petit son métal/ rock bien sympa (avec d'autres pédales en chainage, c'est incroyable !!!) ... Ah oui j'oublié, n'hésitez pas a brancher vos pédales en façade et/ou sur votre send et/ou retourn (boucle d'effets) car les différences en fonction des amplis est énorme ! En bref foncez et faites vous plaisir ;)

This is seriously a good distortion pedal.Lately i have started to play metal again and i needed a pedal which sounded good . I was thinking of buying the Boss metal Zone but when i saw the review and price of this pedal i couldn't wait to try it out. The pedal arrived 2 days later with good packaging. The distortion is thick with fat chugs and the eq (bass,treble) does a good job .There is good amount of volume too (RAW>FAT>SCOOP).I like the MID switch . I use the scoop setting for playing old school metal (Pantera ,Metallica, Megadeth-those old school stuff) .Fat setting sounds good with right balance of mids and the Raw is like crazy mids.It almost sounds like half cocked wah sound-good for playing solos-this setting is like a bonus for me. This MID switch actually makes your life easy cause you can get the tone on a fly .. The solos on the lower gain on Fat mode sounds quite good too..There are many sounds you can achieve with this pedal..Noise is minimum until you do full blast. The pedal is rugged and solid ,the colour of the pedal with red led also looks good for a metal distortion.Also i put this pedal on the fx loop of my amp.Sounds good too in front of the amp but better in loop. I'm happy that i bought this ..Buy it.
