Perfect for rainy weather
I bought this rainsuit for my grandson, and it’s absolutely perfect for those rainy fall days! It’s lightweight enough for easy movement yet keeps him nice and dry when the rain starts to fall. The zippers are heavy-duty and make getting in and out of so easy. The hood fits, as well. I bought the 18-month size, and it fits him yet has enough room for growth. It's a little long in the sleeves for him right now. The brand has several colors from which to select, and I think the blue looks great. No more delaying outside play time—now he can head outside and have fun. And really, what’s more fun for a kid than a good puddle-stomping session? This is one of those purchases you won't regret: great quality, great value, and worth every penny.

All Dry and Loves It
The size is definitely too large. My 7mo old usually wears 12mo clothes and was swimming in this rain jacket. The hood was liable to fall over his face and cover his eyes. In spite of that, he loved wearing it. It was easy to put on/take off, and it kept him perfectly dry. Also, I love that he can grow into it and that it will keep him nice and dry in the rain. It isn’t lined, so if it is cold outside, he will need extra layers to stay warm. Fortunately, it was a summer day when we went out with this.

Love it!
Wow! We have only gotten to play in this rainsuit one day, but so far it is definitely living up to all of the great reviews! I'll try to update once we have used it more, but I definitely wanted to go ahead and comment on the sizing / fit. This suit runs BIG, but since the cuffs are fitted on the wrists and ankles, so it's not really an issue! My guy isn't quite 2 yet (2 months away), but we bought a size 2, because it was the smallest size available at the time & because I knew he'd be wearing it over big coats until it warms up. It wasn't necessary to size up at all, they leave enough room for any type of clothing to fit under. The extra fabric didn't bother him at all though, the fitted cuffs kept the sleeves from falling over his hands. The hood even kind of worked, but did cover his eyes a little bit, but I'm not sure he'd use it anyway. He has a lot of room to grow & I can see him being able to wear this comfortably for a LONG time! Update: 2 years later & we STILL LOVE it! It has sense been passed on to my 2nd kid (2yrs old), even though it honestly still fits my little now 4 yr old. Such a great purchase for making playing in the rain & jumping in puddles last longer & more fun (& safer in chillier weather) we even use it as a waterproof outter layer over our snow gear. I really could not imagine trying to play outside year-round without one! ! Plus it lives up to the name of being tough, the coverall still looks the same as the first time he wore it. Highly recommend for littles! We did end up purchasing waiters (as in fishing waiters, with boots attached) for my 4 year old, so his socks wouldn't get wet, but I still feel like these coveralls are worth having in addition. They come smaller than any waiters I've found & are lighter weight. Definitely the best I've found for toddlers. Highly recommend!!

BEST baby rain/mud suit I've found- really waterproof! Wide but not oversized.
This suit is very nearly my IDEAL outer layer for our wild 23-lb 10-month-old for fall and spring (and possibly winter too!). Before I even came across this item, I was envisioning a system with a warm inner layer, like a full-body sweater suit, covered with a waterproof outer suit, and I think this is IT! He's been wearing it with his tiny little rain boots every day since it arrived, not because it's rained every day, but the ground and everything is wet and muddy, and this totally protects him. We have a farm, and he loves playing in the greenhouse while I'm working in there-- he ends up COVERED in mud and water on the outside, but when we take the suit off, the only wet/cold/dirty parts are his hands, and that's just because he refuses to leave gloves on. If this suit could be improved, I'd say make the arms a smidge longer and include attached mitts, for people like him. Unlike other reviewers, I did NOT find it to run large-- he is solidly in 12-mo size for everything else, and the 12-mo fit him a little too perfectly (shoulder-crotch length was comfortable but snug, despite enormous girth of suit), so we ended up getting him the 18-mo size, and that gives him room to grow a little and wear snow pants if necessary. I'm unclear on the rationale behind the comically huge amount of girth in the torso part of this thing-- he looks like a sumo wrestler, and there is room for two babies inside it, even in winter coats, but the excess fabric so far doesn't get in the way at all, just looks funny! Zippers are super easy to use (thank god for no snaps or buttons!), and the HOOD is great over a warm winter hat- the visor really does protect his face from rain. Overall, we recommend this for ANYONE who plays outside in wet/muddy conditions, and I imagine we'll order the next size up next year- love it!!!

Would Recommend
Would recommend! The zippers seem very durable. We tried it out at the park to see if it would stay dry on wet slides, and then we ended up getting caught in a downpour. He stayed completely dry underneath! Definitely buy the correct size and do not size up. My guy is bordering between 3T and 4T, and I would normally have gone with the larger size, but based on other reviews I decided to go with the smaller size instead, and I’m really glad I did. It fits him perfectly!

Good but not the best! Annoys my toddler to put it on but I like it
They’re a good concept but they must be fit oversized- like way more oversized than you think they should be. They should not ride up on the ankles. My son (17 months) hate putting these on but he likes playing in puddles so he deals with it. Obviously not as nice as the oakie (90+$) and sometimes the zipper drives me crazy. I think I will try a different one next size up but it’s great for the price .

Amazing little suit!!
This is an absolutely amazing little suit! Is it completely and utterly waterproof? No, but that’s basically because our little man likes to really put clothes through its paces! He was near dry after hours in the icy water of the Pacific and perfectly warm and comfortable. Sleeves and pant legs do wick some water in “extreme” use like our guy does. As you can see he did submerge himself a bit haha but as far as puddle stomping, rolling in wet leaves, playing in the surf, crossing streams, heavy rain, wet sand etc this is an active child’s delight! The zips were great even when gummed up with sand. There is lots of room in it for warm coats or snow pants. (It is just a shell zero thermal) After the beach or mud we just hose him down and hang to dry over a floor vent and it’s dry in an hour. We have the bigger size to let him grow into it and I put a big hair tie around his boot tops to hold up the extra fabric this works WAY better than rolling the legs up as they collect water like water balloons. Get one and let the fun begin!!! Absolutely worth the price!

Great for layering & puddles!
Got the size 6-12M for my daughter and it fits perfect! She's 17 months but is petite and small. She was able to play in puddles and I was even able to put her fleece bunting underneath with no issues. All her clothes underneath stayed dry so it is quite durable! The bright yellow color also stands out so it's easy to find her. It's suitable to go over her rain boots as well and the material is not thin but not too thick that it's hard to use either. Would highly recommend for any parent wanting their kids to play dirty but not get too dirty!

Perfect for Rainy days!!
Perfect for every little one. I’m a mom of 4 boys, and I wish I bought one for my two oldest boys. Ultimate clothes saver!!! Came bigger than expect but love it for the extra clothes on the colder days.

Super waterproof! Lifesaver for rainy days and muddy play!
We absolutely cannot live without these! We’re big outdoors people and take our kids out rain or shine everyday. On rainy days we’d be having a lot of laundry after puddle jumping no matter what rain coats the kids would wear. With muddy buddy’s they stay warm and dry! They certainly are waterproof even on the seams and the leg/arm holes have a nice sturdy elastic to make sure water doesn’t get in. If you pull them tightly over their boots the water will not get in! They do fit a little on the large side in the body, but i think that is needed so that you can stuff them in the suit even if they’re in warm sweaters or a snowsuit. Plus it makes them look pretty adorable :) The hood is a nice touch and comes out far enough to keep their face dry (though my kids usually pull the hood down lol). The quality is great. Ours has been passed down to our second child and it is still holding up well (probably about 3 years now and still waterproof). One thing to note is that because they’re waterproof they don’t breath well so if they’re really running around and it’s warmer out they can get a little sweaty inside, but there’s no way around that if you want something 100% waterproof. Amazon was out of stock on our size when our oldest grew out of her original muddy buddy so we changed brands and it was a big mistake. It leaked after a few times wearing it. We will stick with the muddy buddy brand! A little pricier but well worth it!

Love the Tuffo brand
We started buying these for my little one when we were visiting Canada for over the rainy season, then we started buying them for gifts for nieces and nephews for our return back to Australia.
