Q: What size is each piece of kibble? Chunky shape, not flat? (Yes, I do need that information -- long story.)

I haven't boughten any of this brand for several months and have switched to Chewy. I heard bad stuff about Blue Buffalo brand and realized that all the fillers have caused my cats to both be overweight. They now get all natural dry cat food and I can see the difference. They don't throw up like they did on BB and they eat less. I wouldn't recommend BB to anyone. I remember the food as being round and about 1/8" - 1/4" in size.

Q: What is the difference between this and indoor weight control food

Blur Buffalo appears to have three different "lines" of weight loss kibble for adult cats; Wilderness which has the image of a Lynx (9) on the front which is grain free and advertised as high protein (36%) The Freedom which is also grain free 30% protein Indoor has wheat, rice, oats, cornmeal, barley so is not is a grain free product. My two cats have been grain free since I got them and have done well, strictly an empiric assessment, also, one had chronic retching ( I assumed hairballs) and since using the weight control and hairball formula he has never had another incident (I know correlation does not imply causation). I don't know if the 6% more protein in the Wilderness over Freedom makes a difference, but my daughter (the cat whisperer) who twisted my arm to adopt these two, always says that they are "very muscular"?

Q: Am I seeing this correctly? The 5-lb and 11-lb bags are the same price?

No they are different prices as far as I know. I sometimes buy it in a local store and the 4 pound bag sells for $20.00 to 24.00 depending on the store.
