Fog Chaser lives up to the hype.
I can be pretty picky about my coffee. I need a dark roast that's gentle on my stomach (I have Crohn's, so low acidity is a must), but I also refuse to give up great flavor and aroma. My morning coffee is something I genuinely look forward to.I bought this because it was highly rated and had excellent reviews. Of course, everyone's tastes are different, so I wasn't sure if it would live up to the hype. After using it for a week, I can honestly say it does. The flavor is rich and smooth, the aroma is wonderful, and it's been easy on my stomach. As for value, it may seem a little more expensive at first, but you're getting a 2-pound bag instead of just 1 pound. I've also found I only need about three-quarters as much coffee to brew a rich, flavorful cup compared to other brands. That means the bag lasts longer, making it an even better value than the price initially suggests. For me, it's absolutely worth the money.

Smooth Medium-Dark Roast
Bold and dark without the bitterness. I switched from SF Bay’s French Roast after the smoky notes became overwhelming, and Fog Chaser is exactly what I wanted — smooth, strong, and clean. It brews beautifully in my Zojirushi. I like it so much I’m even using it to make coffeemel (coffee mead).

Good enough . . . not a new favorite though.
This Fog Chaser is better than most consumer ground coffee - but, IMO, not a whole lot better. The freshly opened package smelled good, but it lacked a little bit of the magic of darker roasts. I brewed my first pot, and I get the same from the flavor. Good, but lacking the magic of my favorite darker roasts. This Fog Chaser has an aftertaste that lingers for seconds, which reminds me of my favorite coffees, but it's just "not there". That aftertaste has a remarkable similarity to the coffee we would get aboard ship, while I was in the Navy. Not quite, maybe, but similar. On the plus side - zero bitterness, no acid, no objectionable smells or flavor, smooth and mellow, it is NOT a bad coffee. On the negative side, it simply lacks some of the aromatics that I've come to expect from my dark roast coffees. It's simply lacking the magic that I'm looking for.Good coffee, but I probably won't reorder.

Don’t spill the beans, they are too good!
I have been buying this coffee now for 2 years. One to Two, two lb bags a month. It is perfectly delicious. I love the darkness and the oily aroma. When I first open the bag, I stick my nose in it and just inhale the richness. Regular Cuisinart drip in the morning and French press several afternoons in the week. It is so good that I have to pace myself!! I searched a long time trying to find just the right one for us. Thanks SBC…don’t change a thing😊

Great tasting coffee for the price
So I’m developing into a little bit of a coffee snob. I’ve gone more to darker roast coffees that enhance flavor, aroma, and taste. I even bought a Techivorm coffee maker that brews coffee at the perfect temperature to deliver those profiles. Get the beans and grind daily. You get the best results of the coffee flavors that way.I used to buy from a small coffee distributor called Weaver that had excellent coffees. But retirement and cost made me have to seek lessor expensive coffee bean alternatives. I read up on this San Francisco Bay Medium-Dark Fog Chaser bean. I decided to try a 2 lb bag. I received it a couple days ago.I anticipated what was I gonna get from this bean. To my delight and surprise it hit on all my taste buds! The flavor is robust and smooth, but not overpowering. I have always liked a little creamer in my coffee to take away the bitter taste, but this kept the coffee flavor present. This is a good coffee! I’ll buy it again. It’s a great alternative to some other high priced coffee beans and still get what you want…great coffee flavors and taste. Enjoy it! I did.

SFBC nailed it with this medium-dark blend.
I've tried alternatives to Fog Chaser; even going to the trouble of mixing some medium roast beans with a dark roast from various brands. For me, this product hits the mark with aroma of a darker roast and the flavor of a less aggressive roast. Ultimately, if San Francisco Bay Coffee and Amazon maintain a fair price for this product I'll continue to be a loyal customer.

Too expensive for me
The coffee is great but not for the price they have. I can buy at the grocery store for $10 cheaper.

Is this love? ☕️ 💗
Please let me start by reassuring you that this is a rare moment as I'm not one to normally write reviews. I'm also not being paid for this review. I'm simply in love with this coffee. As I sit here in what everyone is referring to as the "storm of the century", I reached over to take another sip of coffee and had a strong moment of reflection on how damn good this coffee truly is.The moment the mug drew near, my nose picked up such a beautiful aroma of mocha and it has such a wonderful nutty mocha flavor that is always soft and smooth without a hint of bitterness.I have been consistently purchasing Fog Chaser every since I discovered it here on Amazon almost 2 years ago. I am, dare I say, more committed to this coffee than any man or job I've ever had.I find the price reasonable for a 2lb bag, but I was beyond titillated for the Black Friday deal and bought 4 bags!As a former Barista and lifelong coffee lover, my sincere appreciation to you, San Francisco Bay coffee. You’ve officially set the bar, and my mornings, very high.

JAJAJAAltamente recomendado.

Ok only
Did not quite like it. It tastes light.

Could be bitter for some but ok for me
I like dark and bitter, this is close to my favorite French roast. However my other half says it tastes burnt. So different taste bud different perception. Will check out this brand's other flavors but keep this one in my future purchase list.

muy malo
no me gusto para nada muy acido, no lo compraria de nuevo

Just OK, slightly over-roasted, better when mixed w proper Lavazza
Slightly burnt taste, but not bad value for money. Just wish it had a fresher aroma than what I perceive as something similar to Starnuckd pikes peak. It tastes and smells better when mixed 50% w Lavazza red bag in the grinder.
