How good is the quality?

Honestly, I didn’t read carefully enough and thought I was buying a Staub ceramic covered cast iron. So I was disappointed at first but it is good quality.

Can you put in pre-heated oven?

I would say yes; however, any drastic change in temperature could cause a crack, such as going from weeks in the freezer directly into a 400’F+ oven. Staub says the pie plate is “Microwave, freezer, broiler, and oven safe up to 572F”, but just be careful of extremes. If you chill your pie for only 30 minutes in freezer or it’s just cold from the fridge, you should be fine to go directly into preheated oven. It’s a great pie plate! :)

Can I use this on direct heat like the gas stove?
