Hard to use
I’m our experience, we had to start in the grooves of the mat in order for it to stick and allow control over the pen.

I feel like I wasted my money
So far I’m not really liking this mat because the filament does not stick….. I feel like I wasted my money on it…..if anyone has any suggestions on how to get the filament to stick I would appreciate it

Skip buying the mat
This was a Christmas present for my daughter it was a set with the 3d pen. She has a lot fun creating 3d designs but says it's hard for the material (PLA) to stick to the silicone mat and it's easier to draw directly on paper. I would skip buying the mat.
