Are all these stick blenders cancer causing like the reviews of Braun? Why are they still being sold?

Stick blenders have been in use for decades, and there is no evidence of, nor reason to believe that, any blender causes cancer. So we are wondering what have you read? This model is manufactured with a stainless steel stem and other food-safe materials that have been used in commercial and home food production products safely for many years.

I moved into a studio apartment, but needed a blender, food processor, and mixer that could fit inside a small cabinet. Well, the Cuisinart CSB-179 Smart Stick Hand Blender has met all of my challenges from making mayonnaise, mixing muffin/cake batters, making soft-dough cookies, immersion blender for veggie soups/sauces, and other labor-intensive jobs. I wouldn't make pasta or bread dough with this unit, but it has performed very well for light-duty needs.

I enjoy using this hand blender. It's easy to use as well as clean. The motor seems to be strong. I bought it primarily to start making my own baby food, but ended up being used as a smoothie maker :) whips frozen fruits up quickly. I would recommend having a good amount of liquid to keep it running smooth, if not after a while the blender will start smelling like it's burning itself out. As for the chopper and whisk I haven't used yet so will have to give an update when I do.
