We scored a very nice grill in very crappy condition at a yard sale. It really didn't heat above a low setting. But by replacing the 3 cast iron burners and these ceramic tiles, it's like we have a brand new grill. We could tell because now we get that trademark sizzle when we throw a steak on the grill, instead of it taking forever to cook. The tiles were wrapped pretty well in cardboard, and they look fine to me. I installed them with the larger side of the holes facing down - I saw a review that asked that question, and there are no instructions, but it made sense to me that you would capture the fire underneath, and then you get a concentrated stream of heat coming out the top hole. But honestly I don't think it makes much difference. Just happy to have a working grill!

Appears to be a perfect match for my Members Mark grill (2002 model). I expect to get another 20 years from this unit thanks to the parts provided.
