These are perfect! Smaller than 8x11 but larger then your average journal which I usually find to small. I love that the pages are different colors and designs, with a watercolor vibe. They lay flat when wide open or when I wrap the used half around the back of the current page. The front and back covers are sturdy for writing and protecting the leaves. Plus there's an elastic marker ribbon to keep my place. I couldn't ask for more features, except perhaps to transfer my writing to my computer please? 😉

Beautiful well made

I discovered these spiral bound note books about a year ago, and fell in love with the quality of the paper, and the lay-flat binding that allows easy writing on a desk. The inner pages are a very good quality of paper, and each page has a light watercolor like wash of color to set the tone of the page. The covers are hard bound and covered with seasonally themed material, such as Summer or Winter or Spring colors. I add a lot of layers of Washi tape and stickers to the pages, was well as ephemera and collected leaves and feathers, and the spiral binding allows for a certain amount of bulk, without harming the journal. I also hand journal, and these books work great. I can also add light washes of additional color, and the paper does not bleed through. The journals come with a pen loop, which is very handy, as well as an elastic band that can hold the book closed when you tuck it in a bag or backpack. Lovely journals!

I'm a stage manager and taking notes is my primary job--I wanted something cute and without lines. This fits the bill. I've had 3 of these, I did try the 'cosmic' one too, the pictures were too dark to see pencil (which is what I use) so I went back to the season's one.

Loved the spiral bound for writing while laying propped up in bed, love the size, loved the varying colored pages. Did not love the brand name on the cover. It would be 5 stars for me without this

This is the perfect journal. The cover is very stiff, thick board, but not super heavy. The spiral binding allows the book to be opened flat, or you can fully fold the cover back so you only see one page at a time. The band over the top makes the journal more secure in your bag.The pages are gorgeous and peaceful, with small unobtrusive delights scattered throughout: a kite, a snow blossom, falling leaves, a tiny log cabin in the snow, bamboo shoots. I have always loved unlined pages. I do not find the pages to be thin, at all, as one other reviewer said. If you are writing with a normal pen, it should not bleed through at all.The fact that there are only 65 pages in this journal is perfect for me. I like to move on to a new journal on a regular basis, and I like the feeling of having filled a journal every few months. It's far less intimidating to write in a slim book. I expect I will purchase some of the others from this company in the future.

The media could not be loaded. I like to do a journal/scrapbook combo, and this journal is perfect for it! The watercolor backgrounds are lovely and unique, and the paper is thick enough that I haven’t had any pen-bleeding issues. (Paper isn’t crazy thick, but it’s fine for my purposes:) love love love this, would buy again.
