Since I paid for it, I'll keep it.
I'll take consistent wheel-building over speed -- my opinion -- this tool doesn't give me the confidence in it's ability to consistently drive the nipples all the same depth.I like the Problem Solver's device better -- it's more flexible in nipple driving depth. Maybe my spoke selection is too short or too long, I don't know, but as I approach the final spokes to set, this device cannot torque the nipple enough -- I feel I need to apply too much pressure and be exact in my approach "angle" to keep it engaged -- essentially, engagement on the nipple is very awkward at this point. (Yes, I realize it is suppose to disengage at some point but it has not driven the nipple deep enough -- now I have to assess is it disengaging because I've driven it far enough or because engagement is just plain too hard using too much torgue)My best guess is my spoke selection isn't too short because at the end of the build the spoke protrudes 1mm or 2 (yeah I know this is not ideal). So if they aren't too short then this device is too "ambitious" at driving the nipples too close a starting point -- too tight. Does this logic make sense? With the Problem Solver device, the depth is adjustable, I just adjust the spoke (a spoke that the user places in the end of the tool to drive the nipple into the spoke) "less-deep", then I go around and I count turns until some acceptable resonance begins in the spoke, finally do an initial true the begin the layering up the tension.Like stated in the title, I'll keep it and I'll continue to exam my technique to see if it is spoke selection error.Bottom line, I suppose some are comfortable ending tight -- and I see how this might save a step -- I just don't trust the way it engages and disengages towards the final spokes it drives. If nothing else, it's a solid, heavy tool -- it does not give any appearance of being cheap. At this point it is just not the tool for me so I cannot give it a glowing review.

A great tool, revised
I bought one of these to speed wheel assembly, which it does very well. The product image should be updated, though: Rather than a more traditional screwdriver handle, the handle of the nipple driver I received is a hollow cylinder of knurled aluminum, with a plastic plug in the end. Having used both the old and this new style, I actually prefer the new one.

It Drives Nipples
There's really not much more I can ask of a nipple driver. It drives nipples. It worked wonderfully when I was lacing some deep sectioned rims. It feels solid and well made, and I'll be using it on many a wheel in the future.
