SoundBox 2.5 Farad Digital Capacitor - 2500 Watts Peak

Works as its supposed to, provides steady power for my amps when other wise id have voltage drops, my system has 2700 watts between 3 amps using 130 amp alternator and this capacitor i havent had any power issues even at very high volumes with heavy bass track playing, installation was simple with excellent instructions. If and when you need to discharge it i recommend holding the resister with a pair of needle nose pliers because it will get hot enough to burn you. Only thing is I wish they proved something to shield its taps from accidental touching, otherwise im very happy with the purchase. The price is reasonable too compared to others that due the same thing, accessing the the light dimming screw is simple i recommend doing it discharged then recharging to see how it looks may take a couple goes to find somewhere your happy. I havent had any issues with it negatively effecting the battery life. Sound quality is the same but instead of the bass being dialed down it stays consistent. the capacitance is accurate tested with a meter it truly is a 2.5 farad. Very well made and durable, the plastic mounts make it easy to mount although I had to take a sanding dremmel to sand down the rim of one of the mounts so I could slide it up the capacitor, the way it was kept it at the bottom side of it, the inside lip would prevent it from going any higher, after sanding it down i was able to slide both mounts anywhere on the capacitor made mounting much easier

Great new condition and works great

Despite all of the reviews saying it didn't do anything, I didn't listen and bought it anyways. I had server dimming and voltage drop in my 2017 Civic. I bought this unit, and spent another $40 on wire and crimps to hook it in. It did absolutely nothing, still had voltage drop. If you are having dimming, what you need to do is either replace your battery with a a bigger AGM or Deep Cycle one, add another battery in the back to support your system, or upgrade your alternator. This will not fix a single thing, and will just lead to you wasting time and money. It also did nothing to improve sound quality, which was another claim it had. God bless amazon's return policy, allowing me to return this hunk of junk. All in all, 1/10 does nothing for your system. looks cool thought which is why it got that extra 1 point.
