The top part with the drawcord allows you to cram more than 30l of stuff in if necessary, side straps mean it can be compressed when half empty or you can attach things to the outside. Lots of padding on the back and straps so you can carry a lot of weight comfortably; the waist strap is on the waist not the hips which wasn't an issue for me (5ft 2) and allows room for climbers wearing a harness. As a bonus it looks great (I got the black version) and the base is flat unlike some other packs so it doesn't fall over when trying to take things out. Review: Use this on a daily basis at the moment and it's really well made as expected from karrimor sabre. No negative points to mention here.
