I am not a protein shake person, but I definitely wanted some of these shaker bottles to use for my overnight oats. The popular name brand lent their name to collaborate with a company for overnight oats. I love the concept, but I think these 20 oz shaker bottles are better quality than their name brand competitor. Let me explain (and these are all the reasons I have switched over to the 28 ounce shaker bottles as well). Just like the popular name brand bottles, these shaker bottles have rounded bottoms so that if you do use some powered mix, it won't get stuck in flattened corner crevices. The rounded bottom also makes cleaning a breeze no matter if hand washing or putting in the dishwasher. Like the competition, there is a nice spiral whisk to break up powders and help facilitate a total mixture of powders in liquid. The competition has a ball, and this whisk is dumbell-shaped. I rather like the dumbell-shaped whisk, but I think both are probably equally effective. It has a very nice "Houdini" hook that tucks away when you're not using it yet is readily available for carrying and transporting. The competition has also moved to a tucked-in hook on some of their bottles. In my opinion, these shaker bottles are similar in their leakproof ability as the major competitor. My experience is that I have not had any issues with leakage although some reviewers have commented on that. Also like the competition, they have a snappy closure that lets you know when the lid is closed. Unlike the competition, these lids will open a full 180 degrees, and as they advertise, there is a better area for nose space. Similar to their competitor, these shaker bottles are BPA free, and the lids and cups feel similar in density and durability. The 20 and 28 oz bottles are also calibrated on the side of the bottle to measure ounces. Both 20 ounce bottles are calibrated up to 16 oz. (The competition calibrates their 28 ounce shaker bottle to 22 oz, and Hydra Cup calibrates to 20 oz.) There are two main features that make the Hydra Cup a better shaker bottle. First, they have added an ice guard to many of their bottles. The ice guard is a disc that sits at the top of the bottle before the lid is put on. If you have ice added in your bottle, it keeps the ice from hitting the inside of the lid and then displacing water onto your face or clothes. The ice guard also acts as an additional agitator to break up powder clumps. It isn't as effective as the whisk, but it does add a second agitator. While I don't use the ice guard in the bottle when I am making my overnight oats, I definitely use them in the 28 ounce shaker bottles, and I bemoan that the competition doesn't have them. At this point, I refuse to purchase a shaker bottle that doesn't have an ice guard. The second main feature that propels Hydra Cup to the top of the shaker bottle pack is that all the Hydra Cup shaker bottles are stackable. Why didn't the competition make their bottles stackable? Real estate in a kitchen is premium, and I think this was the final feature that won me over to these shaker bottles. These 20 ounce bottles do serve as a great way to pack soups for lunch. I usually pour the contents into a bowl at work before putting in the microwave. For carrying contents, however, they are fantastic! I use these 20 ounce bottles for storing sauces and homemade dressings in the refrigerator. I have found so many uses for these, and they are now a staple in my kitchen!

I was away and left my blender cup where I was. It was cheaper to buy 4 of these than have my one cup shipped. My one cup cost about $22. This one I got 4 for $29. I was a little worried they might leak because of the reviews. But they are solid and no leaking I love that grid because one of my protein shakes always sticks to the top of the cup and doesn’t mix well. This prevents it from happening. Delivery was super quick. I placed the order in the morning and they delivered that same day. I’m super impressed with these cups. I love that I have more than one. I don’t have to worry if I lose one.

Shaker cups are great! Even my 8&11 yr old use them, very easy to use. We just ordered another set, our last set lasted 3 years (still going) and they get used daily and go through dishwasher daily! Cannot recommend these enough. Price is great considering how long they last! Colors are nice and we love the size for easy storage and travel.

Total of cups received for the price is totally worth it. I have noticed some leakage but only if the cap is not fully closed. The cap is tough to close but once I know it's secure, there is no leakage. My protein shake is well mixed with little to no lumps and I love the fact that it's dishwasher safe.
