TrueColor Artist Acrylics TrueColor is a good quality artist paint at an excellent price. This line is aimed at the budget conscious artist who cannot spend top dollar for their paint but does not want to sacrifice quality. TrueColor is made with all artist quality materials including lightfast pigments and 100% pure acrylic polymer emulsion. The reason TrueColor has such an attractive price is because of reduced pigment loading as compared with traditional artist paint. This is not the same as a student acrylic paint where the low price is due not only to a dramatic reduction in pigment but also the use of extender pigments (fillers) and low cost polymers. TrueColor brushes on smoothly and has a thick buttery feel and gives the painter the ability to create high peaks and bold impasto. What this means for the artist is that they have a paint that has the consistency and permanence of a high-end paint but without the high end price tag. Offered in economical 16.9 fluid ounce jars! The more expensive colors like Cadmiums Cerulean and Cobalt are noted as Hue Colors. Hue Colors mean that the color straight from the jar is an exact color match to the genuine color but because it is made from a less expensive pigment it costs less. It is important to note that a Hue color will not mix the same as the genuine color.
