Prior to the Christmas baking season, I inspected our cooling racks and discovered they had some broken wires. With young children helping me bake, I wanted some new cooling racks plus I really wanted a 3-tier one that would use less counter space. We have enough counter and table space but I still wanted a cooling rack that would take up less space. I searched on here and came upon this one. I knew that the Wilton brand has good baking and cooking products and have been satisfied with their items in the past. Once I saw that it has 3 tiers and was a good price, I ordered it right away. This cooling rack comes with three individual cooling racks which allows you to use one, two, or three racks, depending on your baking needs. These racks are non-stick and very easy to clean in some mild soap and water or you can stick them in the dishwasher. They collapse so you can easily store them in thin spaces. They are also stackable and allow you the flexibility to use each rack separately or together if you have limited counter space. All three racks are the same size and measure about 15 3/4 inches by 9 7/8 inches and stand 2 3/4 inches tall. There is just under 3/4 inches in between each wire so you can cool smaller cookies on these. The two stands on each rack move so you can collapse the racks and they allow you to stack them with the other racks. These racks are made in China. When these first arrived, I was surprised because, for some reason, I was thinking the racks were one piece instead of three. I guess I missed that part of the product description but, nonetheless, I'm still happy with my purchase. I like the flexibility these racks allow because if I only need two racks, I just grab two from the cupboard. It works best if you set up one rack, put your cookies or other baked goods on top of it and then add another rack, if needed. You could set up all three and then place the cookies on the racks but it would be a bit harder. Since the stands move, you need to hold them while stacking them to ensure they are braced on top of the lower rack. I can generally fit about 12 to 16 cookies on each rack, depending on the size of the cookies. For cleaning, I just handwash these in some soap and water and they dry quickly. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase even though it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. The price is good if you want an inexpensive option that allows you to cool a lot of baked goods with limited counter space. I recommend this product and would buy it again in the future, provided it continues to hold up nicely!

Definitely go for this brand. Good quality and none of that “coated” nonsense. Heavy and durable. Totally satisfied.

I bought this as a gift from the registry. When I saw it at the wedding I loved it. Easy to set up in a 3 tier tower or 3 stand alone racks if you've got the space. Great for me that it folds down next to nothing for storing, because when I got home I bought one for myself. Not super heavy duty, but good enough. Thanks.

I've been doing a lot of baking lately (new kitchenaid mixer which I LOVE) and ran into a problem with getting hot things out of pans to cool. After using paper towels on the table to cool cookies and turning bread out onto the electric elements on the stove top I decided that I needed to stop being cheap and get some cooling racks. I did a bit of searching and reading reviews before settling on these racks. I tried them for the first time last night and I'm happy to say that I'm pleased with my purchase. First the racks are easy to clean. I washed them before using and they washed well and dried quickly with a towel. Ready to use in a couple of minutes. Although I have a large working surface I decided to try the stacking feature. They stack easily and securely so you can feel confident knowing that a little nudge isn't going to send your baked goods tumbling. After a couple of minutes cooling I was able to move the cookies from the cooling rack to a freezer bag for storage of the triple batch of cookies I was making. This allowed me to refill the racks several times leaving enough time between trays for the cookies to cool and be bagged. The cookies released easily every single time. At the end of my baking session I popped the racks into the sink for a quick clean up before putting them away. Again very easy to clean and dry. I'll be making a couple of loaves of bread and banana bread tomorrow and I have confidence that these racks will come in handy again. Best investment I've made since I bought the mixer. Feel confident in this purchase if you are looking for some good quality, easy to use cooling racks.
