whats the write speed?

I'm getting the same as everyone else. 25MB/s write speed and 150MB/s read.

Can I encrypt this drive?

I used Linux and used LUKS(Linux Unified Key Setup) and yes the drive encrypted. I use is for a Persistence Live File System. MX Linux runs perfect on it.

The hole on the end looks very small. How well do these flash drives fit on your keys?

I agree with the first responder who said that the width of the thing on the end is an issue. It causes the drive to not want to move freely on my keychain, which causes it to occasionally poke my leg while in my pocket, or just feel a bit awkward. I never experienced this with my Kingston drive, which has a wide hole that is flat and symmetrical, allowing it to move freely and sit flat against my leg while in my pocket. I also had a hard time getting my key loop through the hole. My keychain is one of those that has a small steel wire loop with a locking mechanism. The end of the wire has a small grommet which was just a bit too large to fit through the hole of this Samsung drive. I had to drill it out a little bigger, which was very difficult to do, and scratched it up a bit. Now that it's one the key ring, it digs into my leg a bit, as I mentioned. Overall I am displeased enough with the design that I'm here looking for something else. I would have stuck with Kingston but it was so SLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Has anyone had to Warrenty

I have several of these drives for quite a while and have not had a problem. This is consistent with my prior experience with Samsung products (i.e., they tend to be quite reliable). However, in the past I had to deal with Samsung service for warranty issues on another product. Their warranty service was terrible. They ignored my claim for months. Every time I contacted them they said they would get back to me shortly. They never got back to me. It took many months to get service from them.
