I borrowed it as an Unlimited book then decided that it worth to buy it.But... I found small mistakes in the example codes (incorrect indentations);The OOP chapter was less clear. The samples were not illuminating, did not help to clarify the concept.The same is true for the Mutable and Immutable Objects as well. The examples only increased the confusion.Moreover, there were statements that were not true. For example this one:"Note that the module must be in the same directory as the program/main module (or the one importing it) for the module to be imported. If not, you will get an error message."This is simply not true. And this is more serious than just an incorrect indentation or confusing explanation. A book that is meant to teach you a topic can not be misleading.This is the cause of my mixed feelings towards the book. I would not buy it now though I am not going to send it back either.

I was recommended this book by my computer science professor for a C++ class. I wanted to learn python on my own and I can say, it's a very easy book to follow, especially compared to C++. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn python l.

I read James' first edition and found it an excellent presentation to Python. This second one, which I haven'nt finished yet, is still inspiring me on in my endeavor to understand this remarkable programming language. Highly recommend his book.

I really like the exercises at the end of each chapter. The information is well laid out with lots of examples.

I like that this book remains the same yet the code had been cleaned up, updating it.
