14oz Aroy D Tom Yum Paste (Pack of 1)

I love Thai food. The first time I had authentic Thai food was in the early 80s when I was taken to a Thai restaurant in LA. My friend ordered for us and they brought a whole large fish surrounded by veggies. i think it was sea bass and delicious. Best fish I have ever eaten. Well almost. We went out A week later and had pad thai. In heaven! This is a good sauce, little limey but I have ordered Mae ploy sweet chili sauce and that will take care of it plus the coconut milk will be sweeter. This is very reasonable, not hot and you just snip off a corner, use what you want roll the used part and back in the container.. Easy. Since you only use about 1/3 cup at a time this will last quite awhile. this was a good buy.

This paste is a golden one for my tom yum soup. It has a rich flavor of lemongrass, also it is spicy and sour, mixed tastes, but wow, my mouth is watering while I am writing this.It is easy to cook. You just put it in your soup and add ingredients and all done. I love the quality of this paste. Definitely going to order a new one soon.

Big fan of this soup with shrimp. To fully adhere to the recipe, you need about 4-5 different hard to find ingredients. I only found lemon grass and lemon. Made it and was amazing. With the limited ingredients plus cooked shrimps, I would say it was close to 80% of the best Tom yum soup in a restaurant I've had and better than some others. My only complaint is the packaging. The paste comes in a plastic bag that's been shoved into the plastic container you see. There was red oily paste all over the outside of this bag. By the time you've gotten done paste into a pan, your hands full of the oil also. Looks like others have had that experience.. I hope the company improves the packaging.

Love this paste! I just add it to my noodles with shrimp and it makes a delicious broth. I highly recommend it!

This is so yummy add mini wontons from frozen section at Walmart or Kroger's add pineapple avocado cilantro green onion jalapenos if like spice and squeeze lime who needs restraunt

Arroy-D and Mae Ploy are the two top makers of authentic Thai curry pastes. They are equal in quality, but I use Arroy-D mostly, for not other reason that that's the brand I tried first and I've gotten accustomed to cooking with it. Arroy-D is absolutely authentic, and I'm sure you'd find it in the kitchens of Thai homes across the planet. I'd be willing to bet you'd also find it in restaurants as well. This is amazing stuff, and you need look no further than this brand as the basis of a great Thai meal.
