SABRENT USB 3.2 10Gbps Type C Tool Free NVMe External Enclosure Case for M.2 PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs (EC-SNVE)

I am using this Sabrent enclosure for a 5 year old mac that has been converted to external NVME bootable device using this enclosure. The thunderbolt cable provided with this enclosure works like a charm and the speeds are to the max possible with an external drive using thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1Prosa) Build qualityb) Ease of use, hardly takes 5 minutes to get up and runningc) I booted Mac using NVME installed in this enclosure and its ice cool though used for over 12 hours.Consa) Not a con but still worth mentioning that this is not as fast as an internal drive but still gives great write and read speeds to the max possible on thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 because this is the limit with the older mac itself whether you use a faster external NVME or powerful enclosure.

Amazing enclosure. Initially I had ordered Sharge Disk Plus. That was such a bad enclosure and I made a huge mistake to spend ₹6300 on that piece of trash, just because it was a pretty slim design.Ordered this one from Sabrent after I realised that building these enclosures does take a considerable level of engineering, and you should buy an enclosure from a brand that is known for making good quality SSDs as they may have the talent to design a good enclosure as well.Loved it's aluminium finish which def feels sturdy. It does get a lot hot especially when you're editing 4K videos through it tho. I put a WD SN350 SSD into it. Do not even think about putting a Samsung 990 Pro in - you'll regret it.I'd recommend using it in an air-conditioned environment if possible (especially if you live in Delhi like me, you'd know how crazy high the temperatures become in summers).

Product is very good, but I think the locking mechanism could be a bit better. The transfer speeds are very good and stable. Temperature during heavy read/write operations is also within tolerable range.

I have been using it since 4 months and the file is copying fast. But I don't understand why it is taking time to open the file. I'm inside. Samsung is using 980 ssd so this is not a problem because of high speed ssd right? Someone should guide you

Easy to install and temps are under control.When ssd(samsung 980) is formated to NTFS the speeds are under 500mb/s when formated to exFAT then speeds reached to 1000mb/s , I don't know the exact reason but if any one had speed issues try formating to exFAT format. With exFAT format you can use it with both android and windows
