The problem is that this drain shoe doesn't come with an adapter so that it can fit various sizes of drain holes. No where in the description does it state the size, except in a picture of the package, which is for a 1 5/8". Our tub's drain hole is a 1 7/8", so we had to struggle to get the adapter off of our old drain shoe, to attach it to this one. The next problem is that the screw hole in the middle, where the drain strainer screws into, is too big. I had to search around various home improvement stores to find a 5/16" x 2 1/4" stainless steel screw to fit this hole, so that I can attach the strainer. The approximate inside diameter of this drain assembly is 1-7/16th of an inch. So our product number #80784 rubber stopper would work for your application. **Q: Does this drain shoe have a cross bar with a threaded hole inside the inner diameter?** A: I ordered on 4/2/2023 and the unit I received had a 5/16-18 threaded hole. a bit larger than necessary for a hair strainer but my strained had a hole just large enough for a 5/16” screw.
