UV Germicidal Lamp 185nm UVC with Ozone Light Bulb E27 20w 220v Cleans Air

Very good light and powerful germicide. Creates an unpleasant ozone smell but this quickly dissipates once you open the door or window. Have had this for about 2 years now and still going. Have bought a second one for my family as a recommendation. Remember never to look at this light.

I have used this lamp a few times at 30-40 minute bursts for a medium sized room. So far the lamp has not failed as mentioned by other reviewers. I will update my review if or when it does. This lamp is 20w, I don't suggest trying for the 35w one, especially if you have to manually turn the light off and on. Consider getting a timer, or other automation device. I suggest this because the seller does not make it clear enough that UVC is damaging to skin and DNA, and the ozone produced can chemically react in your lungs. I assume its okay to expose yourself for a couple seconds, but I don't suggest taking deep breaths of ozone, just incase you like the smell, like how some people love the smell of petrol. the light switches are typically by the door, I leave the room, and flip the switch with my eyes closed. I also leave my fan and air filter running. when it is time to turn it off, I close my eyes, and hold my breath in order to not inhale the ozone. You can leave the room sealed, but it will take at least an hour for the ozone to dissipate. Or you can can hold your breath while you open any windows, and this will speed up the process. To summarize, this bulb does what it says. It produces UVC light, and it does produce ozone. I have not seen it kill any spiders, and I don't know if it can kill mites. but I do know once you have used the light for 30-60 minutes, and aired out the room. The room does smell fresh.

This lamp certainly is the real deal, it indeed produces UVC and ozone, the latter is noticeable some time after powering it off, I have so far used it to sterilise a couple of rooms and also the three insulated bags I use for food delivery and the boot carpet out of my car after spillages occurred. What I will say though is that you should keep the box it came in and store it out of the way and mark up the box so that people who don't know what this lamp is and the hazards associated with it are made aware so they don't plug it in, and as these are Edison screw cap then you would need an adaptor if you don't have those lamp holders in your house and only have the bayonet cap ones, I already had one of these lying around. All in all seems like a good product, and should last if not run for too long too often as it doesn't take long for it to do its job. And if you're still unsure of the safety aspects I would recommend searching over on YouTube for bigclivedotcom as he has a few videos on these lamps, they are safe if used sensibly

It works and produces ozone, I can't say how effective the UV is though...

Be careful using this light, it produces Ozone which can damage lungs - but it is fantastic at killing bacteria, mold, smells. Whenever I get a whiff of dampness - I close off the room and turn this bulb on remotely for an hour, then air for a few hours. Yes it does smell at first - however all the bacteria / mould etc in the room will be gone! I do each room every month or so.

Great quality worked out for long use.

I ordered the lamp - there were no instructions in the box. I was told that instructions come with the base so ordered that too. Instructions minimal in Chinese English ie doesn't feel entirely clear. For a product that is dangerous on 2 counts - UVC can blind people and Ozone can kill people this item needs a clear set of safety instructions. AMZ as well as Seller seem unconcerned. I have now used it twice. The first time it waited 30secs for me to get out of the room before lighting up. The 2nd time it didnt so I got blinded. Both times went out and came back about 90mins later to VERY strong smell that takes HOURS and HOURS to dissipate. Its impossible not to breathe in the ozone as you run around trying to open windows and get the place ventilated. I have grave safety concerns about this product.

Really liked the lamp interesting oder present not at all offensive and has started to clear a mould area on our ceiling but only into two weeks of intermittent use it has ceased to work so it’s not even seen 20 hours that’s expensive. Ok well i left this remark some time back the company didn’t hesitate the replace the, perhaps damaged in transit one, or just part of quality control at the fabricator, any way the replacement is still going strong so i am indeed very pleased with it.

Nach ca. 1h richt die ganze Wohnung ca.200qm nach der Lampe hab sie in einen Luftreiniger eingebaut seit her lass ich den Timer auf 60 min. Wenn wir außer Haus sind.bin voll und gans zufrieden 1000 mal besser als die LED die keine Wirkung haben

Ultra efficace , attention aux précautions d'usage ( UV très dangereux pour les yeux et la peau , ozone pour les poumons ! ) 1/4 h pour 50m² sous 2m plafonds 😉)

Lo uso para desinfectar estancias. Hay que hacerlo sin entrar presenta, ya que el ozono es irritante para los pulmones. Luego hay que ventilar.

Ottimo prodotto, fa il lavoro suo, ottimo per come mio figlio e' allergico agli acari etc....L'odore di ozono rimane per un lungo periodo nonostante io abbia ventilatori da tetto, quindi consiglio di lasciare areare i locali dove la lampada viene usata per un buon periodo di tempo, io l'ho usata la mattina e la sera ancora l'odore persisteva.

Sto utilizzando questa lampada per le proprietà della luce ultravioletta che ha effetto distruttivo verso il DNA, per rimuovere quindi microrganismi e sanificare alcuni ambienti più sensibili come il bagno e camera dove dormo. Non ho strumenti di misura per verificare se la luce emessa è della giusta lunghezza d'onda, si sente l'odore di ozono ottenuto dal funzionamento. Anche l'ozono viene impiegato per la disinfezione perché ha potere ossidante, quindi è importante far circolare aria fresca negli ambienti dopo l'utilizzo. Sebbene venduta liberamente, è necessario prestare attenzione nell'utilizzo. La luce ultravioletta è nociva per tutti gli esseri viventi, l'esposizione può causare tumore della pelle, guardare la luce danneggia gli occhi e si rischia la cecità! Vale anche per gli animali, non lasciare nella stanza cani, gatti, uccellini, rettili... I raggi UVC sono dannosi anche per le piante. Un trucco per operare in sicurezza può essere quello di utilizzare la lampada comandata da una presa smart, in modo da accenderla e spegnerla a distanza. Utilizzo la lampada per pochi minuti al giorno (3 minuti per un bagno di 5mq), a seconda della dimensione della stanza il funzionamento è sufficiente per pochi minuti. Queste lampade si usurano facilmente quindi non usare mai per più di 30 minuti consecutivi altrimenti si danneggia e smette di funzionare. Semplice da installare, ha l'attacco E27 quello utilizzato dalle normali lampadine, in questo modo non serve alimentatore esterno, starter o ballast.
