M530XTLH Magnum Solid Steel Keyed Alike Padlocks, 1-Pack, 2-Count

I've had good luck with Master Lock padlocks over the years and tend to stick with what works for me. I needed this specific shackle diameter to work with the chains I already have. This set of padlocks only comes with 2 keys. Since time immemorial, keyed-alike sets have come with 2 keys per lock. Also, the "packaging" they come in is a thick plastic card with molded blocks that fit around the lock. There's no easy way to get the locks out. I used a pair of pliers to twist the plastic parts until they broke off. What a pain in the butt! Won't dock a star b/c the locks themselves seem to be of good quality. Just have a pair of pliers handy if you buy these.

I needed to lock up the black storage bins with yellow lids (like from Costco or Home Depot). These are strong locks and the shackle is just the right length to go on the edge of the lid. Shorter locks are not long enough. Smooth opening and locking with the key.

Freezing rain on these locks and they open with ease. These are the best lock for the money. Never buy locks made in China where you can’t get duplicate keys made.

I ordered three sets of the 4 pack of these locks. I opened the first pack and removed the key and function tested the first four locks and they functioned fine. I removed the keys from the second set of locks when I realized that all three of the packs had the same key code sticker number. I thought I got lucky since it would be easier for me if all 12 of the individual locks were key-alike. Got the key from the second pack and tried to function test the first pack of locks since they were loose already. The first key did not unlock the lock. Tried the second key from pack two and that also didn't work. I thought maybe the lock was the problem so I repeated this for both keys on all four of the locks from the first pack. None of them opened up again or functioned. I then went back to the keys that came with the first pack and they functioned the 1st pack of locks just fine. Oh well I thought as it would have been nice if they did work. Tried to remove the locks from the second pack and then found that the keys that came with that pack would not unlock any of the second pack of four locks which were still locked in position in the packaging from MasterLock. I then tried the keys that came with the first pack on the locks still locked in position from the second pack and the keys from the first set unlocked all four locks in pack two. The third pack of locks also used the same keys from the first pack and either of the keys from my first or third pack would unlock any of the 12 locks in total I had bought. So it seems like from the manufacturer some how they put the wrong keys in the second pack I bought. For me, it worked out and it wasn't a big deal but for those who order these locks if the keys don't work you could have something like mines where the wrong key was attached to the set.

I had same lock model but was only one lock and two keys, it became rusty after a few years, but I loved the lock so much I searched and found this, which is a great deal, you get 4 high quality locks that are strong and keyed alike so there is no hunting for the right key. I am glad I got this lock. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a lock that they can trust and will take a beating.

A good set of Master lock Magnum keyed alike locks. The long shackle is made of boron- carbide. It’s very difficult to cut with bolt cutters. Don’t even try it. The locks are great for outside applications. The locks can be rekeyed to fit a new key by a locksmith.

Bought these in August of 2025. Used until 28 September when I had to cut one off because of major malfunction. I could not insert the key. Somehow the lock’s key slot got reversed in the body of the lock. In the pictures you will see where the lock looked abused. This only happened when I thought I could twist the keyhole with a screwdriver and then a blow from a hammer might help to “reset” the interior mechanism so I could insert the key. Nope. Had to use my universal key, a grinder…. The locks weren’t abused or used inappropriately. One of them just stopped working. I now have a claim in with Master Lock. I will post any updates with any resolution from them. So…the company that owns Master Lock, amongst many other security product divisions, Fortune Brands Innovations, has decided to replace the lock. Just the lock I had to cut off, not the pair of locks, bought for the sole purpose of having a set keyed-alike. Very disappointed with this truly inacceptable decision. I will seek to find appropriate replacements that don’t have the name Master Lock on them.

Locks are very strong and sturdy. Came with two keys that unlocked all 4 locks very easily. Operation of the lock mechanism is very smooth.

Completely rusted closed after 6 months outside. Now need some bolt cutters. Useless.
