Is it flexible after it dries, or will it re-crack?** A: I used it on my motorcycle seat where it has cracks/small thin lines going deep into the seat. Thus far it is holding up but does seem to need more fill in as time goes on. But not as bad as initially was. Seems to work well so far, not sure on boots though, it was worth it for my situation on my bike seat where I sit. **Q: Will this work to fix a leather strip connected a clasp for shoe strings that has become detached?** A: I don't think so. This is more for blending the edges of tears so that the tear is not visible. Mine all stuff is fixed & working well. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Adequate Seal, Mediocre Aesthetics *by J***. on April 23, 2015* I'm not sure what kind of damage this is designed to repair best, but it says it fixes gouges, and that's what I bought it for. It came with several canisters (small, like paints of a paint-by-number kit) of black "liquid leather," plus a few other items to make repairs and add texture. I was repairing the arm rests on a wheel chair, which were punctured by a metal bit while loading the chair in my car.The foam underneath was intact, aside from the slice, and the covering was cleanly cut. The slice was about one inch long. In all fairness, the directions do say that you should build up any dents- basically perform all repairs before using the liquid leather. I was working with a flat surface that was basically cut, just as it would have been if I'd stuck a knife in the arm rest, so I didn't think it was necessary to build it up. I just wanted to seal it off and add texture to match.No such luck. The liquid leather seeped into the crevice, rather than forming a layer over the top as I expected. I ended up leaving it to dry overnight, and I did a second coat the next night. The texture sheets are paper with a raised pattern. They might work on a thicker liquid leather, but did absolutely nothing to my second coat.In the end, the repair is adequate. It's sealed up nicely, and the color is a good match. Up close, it's an obvious repair job. It might have worked better if it was thicker, or if the repair was smaller. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think it worked. *by P***3 on September 25, 2017* I had a small tear in my vinyl motorcycle seat made by a cat's claw. It was basically "L" shaped, with the long part of the L being less than 1/4" long. The tear was at the edge of the cushion, where the horizontal seat curves down the side. The patch was going to be in direct contact with my butt, and the material would be flexed alot.The repair cloth was really loose, and wanted to unravel as soon as I cut the small piece I needed. It was a little tricky getting it stuffed through the tear and laying down flat over the foam padding, without making the original tear bigger. I kept picking out loose strands of the repair cloth,The glue was very wet, and did not bond instantly. It took several minutes to get sticky enough to hold the vinyl down to the repair cloth. It wanted to stick to my finger much faster than to the back of the vinyl. I used a flat screwdriver instead of my hand to hold it down. Be patient.The black stuff worked well. I picked one of the texture patterns that looked close to the original "plether" pattern on the vinyl and a couple pieces of blue painters tape to keep it in place over night. The next day I pulled it back and the patch was done.In the end it looks like a little bump in the seat cover. Not exactly invisible, but way better than the tear used to look. The color and texture match are pretty good. and the repair is pretty strong. I don't think the tear will get any bigger, and the seat is sealed against water getting into the foam.
