I think it was originally about 9 inches, now I have it at about 7". It was for cat ingress and egress before a cat door was installed. **Q: Can this be installed where door and door frame moulding are not flush? moulding is fancy and I don’t want to destroy it.** A: As long as you can get the 6 screws in somewhere. **Q: Does this come with the proper fitting screws?** A: Yes, there are 6 screws. Two for the door frame part and four for the door part.
