As expected, Sakura flavour from petals with salted leaves like Sakura Mochi
This tastes exactly like the mixture of sakura-mochi's leave that is salted, and the delicate cherry blossom flower petals. So, if you didn't grow up with Sakura-mochi flavour, it will probably taste very subtle. If you have been to Japan in cherry blossom season (March-early April), you would enjoy this flavour and the early spring season, enjoy the spring zen moment. It probably requires delicate palate to enjoy this authentic Sakura flavour.(For example, Starbucks Japan makes Cherry Blossom drinks as seasonal offering but that often comes with strawberry in the ingredients for likely to display pink colour & flavour)

A great imagining of cherry blossom flavor
First off, cherry blossoms don't have a taste. I appreciate that this uses real cherry blossom, but in all honesty, it's the idea of a cherry blossom that we buy this! Real cherry blossoms are picked and are traditionally for Japanese weddings. So they taste really salty! The leaves, also pickled are salty too. So the real cherry blossoms impart a slight floral saltiness here

excellent sakura powder
This sakura powder is excellent and tastes exactly like sakura (floral and slightly salty). I use it to make sakura-flavored desserts and dessert components e.g. macarons, ice cream, buttercream and it works perfectly for this. It's a true sakura powder, NOT a latte powder with weak sakura flavor and sugar as the primary ingredient. You could definitely use it to make lattes, though!Wholeheartedly recommended except that the price is $25 for 1.4oz of this stuff which is insane, but (gritting teeth) palatable as it's hard to ship sakura powder from Japan in general and harder during COVID, and you will never find this in an American store. A little bit goes a long way, so it should last a long time unless you're using it constantly.

Cherry Blossom Delight
I bought this item to make Wagashi/Wasanbon Japanese sugar candies. A little powder added to the sugar made delightful cherry blossom flavored lightly pink candies. Serve it with Matcha to stave off a lightly bitter taste or to sweeten the tastebuds while drinking unsweetened tea.

Meet Sakura: The world's faintest flavor
I previously bought Sakura powder from another brand on Amazon (both this and that one are made in Japan and list Sakura flowers as their 1st or 2nd ingredient), and I put so much powder into my cup to make it a latte, could barely taste it, so I was thinking that it could've just been the brand, so I switched to this brand, dumped like half the bag into my cup, and you can SEE it's pink but flavor is once again imperceptible -- I think generally Sakura powder is just not worth it unless you're looking for the faintest floral/cherry/salty taste -- I'm going to try buying the flowers in a jar and see if that gives me better results -- given that it's two separate Japanese brands where the powder hasn't yielded almost any flavor, I'm going to generalize that the powders are just ultra delicate (small sample size, I know, I know). Also, if you smell the powder in the bag, there is some perceptible floral/salty notes, otherwise it's also pretty mild.

Earthy, no floral at all, disappointed
I had high hopes for this product. I am not sure if this is due to a storage problem, but unlike some other reviews, my package did not resemble Sakura flavor. It does have an earthy smell and taste, but it ends up tasting like (pink) green tea, or barley tea. Mine had no floral, nor any other flavor other than "earthy". I also used pretty much the entire package on 1/3 of a batch of sugar cookie dough with no distinguishable change other than saltier and very pink. I had to refund a customer because I could not achieve the desired flavor with this item.I added a picture of the ingredients list on my package for those who had questions about the ingredients. Also, it is super unfortunate that this item is one of few with my Prime membership that is not refundable. Such a waste for the price.Update:. I've come back to give a couple extra stars for the following reasons:- It is hard to find just the right Sakura flavor and this is the only product so far (after I have been unable to procure my past Sakura flavor supply) that uses pickled Sakura flavor. For all intensive purposes, when u find something Sakura-flavored, it is usually the slightly salty, earthy, slightly floral, ever so slightly fruity version.- I've found the other few Sakura powders currently available on Amazon are too floral (very Rose scented and flavored). With some tweaking, adding a bit of those floral powders to this powder comes close to what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, it doesnt solve the problem of the price for this small bag.
