Good quality
I like these machine heads. Hefty and quality. I put these on my yamaha FG401 acoustic guitar. I had to drill new holes but that's what we do as musicians. I had to knock out the bushings the factory had in there for the original heads. These fit perfectly and are a delight to have.

High quality tuners, rock solid
Smooth tuning. Stay in tune. This is a locking tuner so if you screw the thumb wheel out to the limit (but not beyond because you might damage the screw or break it off) you can lube both the worm gear and the main gear inside.I dip a tooth pick in the grease and put it on the gears inside the tuner. Looking inside it looks like brass gears. I lubed it with lubriplate, a Lithium based grease. I suspect all geared tuners use brass gears so lubing with Lithium grease is a very good idea. It also helps to give the tuner that silky smooth feel.I adjusted the tension with the philips head screws in the tuning knobs. Ultra-smooth tuning.I had to drill holes for the screws because the old tuners used a peg (Sperzel tuners) instead of a screw. No problem. I was very careful about drilling the correct size hole and using screw lube on the threads so I would not break or strip the heads any of the phillips head screws.Note on adjusting the screws that hold the knobs in place: Do not loosen these too much or the tuner will bind because it will allow the worm gear to pull outward slightly while the knob is rotated. You can see this happening if you look closely at the back of the tuner. For smooth operation the screw has to be pretty snug but not tight. You can judge this by rotating the knob and feeling the torque required. Using a string winder gives you the feel for it.The appearance of these gold tuners is right up there with my Grover and Schaller tuners on other guitars. Those tuners were over a hundred bucks.I love the Guyker 18:1 tuning ratio. It makes tuning more accurate and faster with the smaller knobs on 6 inline tuners. The Sperzals had only a 12:1 tuning ration which is to coarse for me, particularly with the smaller tuning knobs on a strat-style guitar (6 inline).I have found over the years that Guyker parts have just as good quality and life expectancy as the higher priced tuners. It's pretty surprising. Don't let the low price convince you that it's low quality. I don't know how they do it, but the quality is great. I found that to be true of all Guyker parts that I have purchased including Bridges, String Stops, and now tuners. So these days my first choice is Guyker and if they don't have what I need I look to the higher priced stuff. All the big name brands have much higher prices, but my experience is that the quality isn't any better than Guyker. Maybe i shouldn't say this because Guyker might raise their prices!I don't get paid for writing this review and am not afilliated with Guyker. I just appreciate high quality and affordable prices. I own about 22 guitars (kind of lost count) LoL. And I work on them all. I love working on guitars (and playing).

Don't be fooled. These are great!
I bought a set of these for a project strat. Way better than I expected. 10/10 will buy again.

Good, but are they great?
First off, I was on the fence about these particular tuners due to some of the reviews I read. I really couldn't decide on what brand I wanted to get. Price was a big part of the reason I decided to try these. Now I never order locking tuners before. So after a few days of YouTube videos I felt that I gained enough knowledge to give it a try. Yes I wanted the more expensive name brand tuners, just couldn't bring myself to pay almost $100 for a set on tuners. So I pulled a stock tuner out of my Jackson flying V and measured the tuner. knowing the measurements I went shopping on Amazon. Purchased these tuners. They were a direct replacement for my guitar. Even the screw holes on the back matches right up!When I received my package the next day. I did a quality check of the tuners to make sure they were functioning properly, and a dry fit to make sure they fit my guitar. One thing to note is that the hole the string goes in looked very small. I checked all of them to see if there were any differences between the tuners. They were all the same. Since I had to remove the old strings anyway, I cut a piece of the low E string and made sure it would work correctly with the size strings I use(10-48). The string did fit but didn't have a lot of wiggle room. So if I wanted to a bigger low E there may be a issue in the future.Installation was a breeze. Really straight forward. I have it done inless than 5 minutes. The turners seem a little rough, nothing to worry about, when you turn the pegs. I think these will smooth out a bit after a little bit of use.As of right now, I can't comment on the there ability to hold tune etc... right now this is a project guitar, and I'm slowlyreplacing parts.I'm not totally blown away but these tuners so far. I do think they're an upgrade, but as of right now I just don't how much of one it is.I do have another guitar with a set of factory locking tuners on it, these were my first experience with locking tuners. The guyker seem to be pretty much on par with those. Thanks for taking the time to read my review, and I hope it helped out in some way.***Update 10-6-24***Got the the V up and running. Ordered new pickups, and had them installed. Restrung the guitar. These seam to be great tuners. They're smooth under string tension and precise. They keep tune very well, I have to account for the new strings stretching. I play very hard and I did notice after a few minutes the A string went flat. Not worried at this point because the strings are new, after a week I try to update.

A Solution in Search of a Problem
These are okay. I misunderstood their purpose when I bought them. I thought that they would help to keep a guitar in tune, but their purpose seems to be to hold strings in the tuner while they are being tightened. That was a problem that I did not have when I bought them. The machining is merely adequate and we'll see how good the gearing is. If you want good tuning machines, just pay for them and skip these things. People who are breaking strings are putting far too much pressure on the strings or are using old strings. The tightening pins could act as shears, so a little bit of pressure is all you need.

Works as advertised
Fit right on my guitar with no modification needed. Quality is good, machining is good.
