The Planets in Our Solar System (Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science 2)

I am a homeschooling mother of two and constantly looking for educational material.I am also author of What do you see? Our Solar System - a beautifully illustrated children's picture book. At the time I purchased "The Planets in Our Solar System" my daughter was in grade 2 and I needed a book with good information, high quality illustrations and photo's and also a book that she could enjoy by herself. I came to love the "Let's read and find out Science" books, they coincide well with the school curriculum and they are much more fun than prescribed school books. "The Planets in Our Solar System" is no exception, we read the book over and over, it never fails to impress and amaze. Needless to say it is not the only "Let's read and find out Science" book in our library.

My five year old really enjoyed the book. It is information rich. It also mentioned the solar system and the different things that make up the solar system which was and added bonus to simply talking about the planets.

This book is awesome - it's great for pre-K and K but still has enough detail for a budding scientist not to be bored. Not an overgeneralized kiddie book, not so detailed that it's off-putting. It's amazing to find a book like this that my 4 year old and my 6 year old both enjoy.

Love this book, we had seen it at a bookstore with my daughter of course more expensive, she liked it so much I bought it here on amazon the same moment and we just got it... She is so happy to own it! ;)

Bought this for my daughter who really loves the solar system and science. Its great. She loves it. She really likes science and everything that goes with it so its great to keep her interested.

Well well well, the dwarf planet Pluto exists in this book. No need to get upset that it still has PLuto as a planet. So rejoice the book is now correct. That is if New Horizons uncovers something to make Pluto a planet again (which probably won't happen).

Made space a learning Opportunity.

Great book. Bought for my 4 year old nephew who loved to learn and discover new facts. Great and durable quality. Highly recommended.

Lovely and informative for my grandson who's 6, he can read it himself and really loves the pictures, would recommend to any parent or grandparent.

A really good beginners guide for young children just learning about earth and the other planets within the sun system... My 5 year old loved it and even have a talk to her class about what she had learnt.

this is a first class introduction to space and our solar system with great diagrams and project ideas. a fantastic book.
