Autumn Night Whiskey (Tequila Rose Book 2)

This was a beautifully written duet. This is definitely Willow Winters calling. She takes these wonderful characters whose lives intertwine and make it into a beautiful love story. There is definitely angst and loads of drama. Drama around who is Magnolia Marie Williamson is going to choose to be with. Robert, of course, breaks my heart that his life being what it is with his family, mother has developed Alzheimer and his father has stepped back to take care of his wife and to push Robert to become the politician he wants him to be. Being wealthy doesn't always make you have a happy life, what is the saying money can't buy me love. Can money buy the love Robert thought will always be there or can it. The promise that Robert and Mags aka Magnolia made was that they would always love one another. Then there is the unknown, Brody who Rose aka Magnolia had a one night fling, affair or sexual encounter with while going to school in Boston. He is back in town because he and his friend Griffin are opening a distillery and a bar and coincidentally happens to be where Rose aka Mags happens to live. Sometimes fate does have a way of bringing people together for whatever reason. We know that Bridget is almost three years old and that shortly after Mags had to come home because her father died that she found out she was pregnant with Bridget and she really didn't know who was the baby's daddy and had not tried to find out. She was too busy trying to clean up the mess her father left, after scamming all the wealthy people in the area. Her ex boyfriend Robert had broken up with her but he was still there for her. He was actually in love with her still and we found out in the story before Tequila Rose that he actually wanted to marry her. So here we are faced with the dilemma that Magnolia is faced with because she loves two men and one she loves and the other she is in love with. Magnolia really could not make a bad decision when it comes to either guy. In the end you will fall in love with Magnolia and the man she chooses. So I will tell you that this duet has been really interesting, wonderful and amazing. I do say that you should read Tequila Rose before you read this book. It is worth purchasing this duet.

What a fabulous story.. my heart broke for Robert… lots of teary eyes while reading his angst with his love for 2 womens; one a woman who has been a major part of his heart and the other one is only 3…. Then everyone’s world turns upside down with a stranger from magnolias past that changed everything…. Wow

I love every word she writes. Every story she weaves. She is my favorite author. I will binge read her books and stay up all night not able to put it down.

Autumn Night Whiskey is a fabulous conclusion to Tequila Rose. You must read Tequila Rose first there is no getting around that one. All I can say is Magnolia is put in a rock and a hard place when it comes to Robert and Brody. Who will she choose? Well you must read this to finally find out. All I will tell you is she follows her heart. Who is the father? Well I'm not saying. You feel for every stress filled, moment that Magnolia goes through. It is such a triangle here. You have Robert, Magnolia's best friend, first love on again off again. And then there is Brody and that connection worth exploring and new feelings that arise. All I can say once you start reading you realize Magnolia really could not make a bad decision when it comes to either guy. In the end you will fall in love with Magnolia and the man she chooses. I really cannot wait for more books to come featuring different characters from this small town romance. The emotions may run all over the place but you must give in and get sucked into Magnolia's life.

TEQUILA ROSE, is Book 1 in this book duet, and must be read first. So I decided to wait for Book 2, AUTUMN NIGHT WHISKEY, to be released before buying both books. Then I could binge read them. I always have enjoyed Willow Winters writing. My reading the books together, I think gives me a more positive perspective on these books, too!Magnolia Wilkinson has not had an easy four years since having to return to her hometown of Beaufort. Her father had destroyed her family name. He had died from a heart-attack and shame, after getting caught embezzling and stealing from practically every family in this small town. Then she finds she is pregnant and not sure who the father might be. Robert was the man who had shattered her heart, but was the only one willing to help her. He isn't her boyfriend and is a politician who couldn't very well have a wife with a tarnished reputation. Yet she lets him come and go as he pleases. She finds a sort of refuge in their messed-up relationship.She had tried to find Brody when she found out she was pregnant and without any luck. Now after four years, he shows up in the small town of Beaufort and still thinks her name is Rose. He has quite a few shocks coming his way. Suddenly, Robert Barnes, finds he has competition for the heart of Magnolia and her adorable three-year-old daughter named Bridget. It is a love triangle full of heartache and past regrets. Magnolia is scared of letting go of Robert, but also scared of her feelings for Brody Paine.

Relationships are hard especially when two men are in the picture. One with regrets and pulling out all the stops to win you back and the man who makes you feel alive and everything is right and scary, how do you choose? Robert has always been there, but has crushed your heart and the one night stand gave you the most precious things of all, Bridget. Regret and guilt ridden the truth needs to come out about her feelings, who really is Bridget’s father and how she’s going to navigate life moving forward.I felt for Magnolia, I think at one time or another we’ve all loved two people and to choose one over the other is never easy, but when one reminds you of what could’ve been and the other shows you a promise of what’s to come, the choice really isn’t that hard in the end. I really enjoyed this duet. It pulls at your heart strings and you feel for both men and the choices Magnolia has to make. I’m interested to see where this author takes us next with Asher and Bri.

I’m trying to keep this short 😂I adore willows style of writing!.. there are loads absolutely loads of books in this genre especially small town romances available to read I’m always looking for books to stand out AND willows done it here.Her writing is sweet, charming,not a slow burn but a nice easy pace! Each having been perfectly created and set up throughout both books.Again willows style of writing has built these characters so well outside the main characters (which I won’t go into for poss spoiler reasons) the rest can either be left in this series or can be expanded in to having their own books. I hope not I need more of Griffin!!Audio version, Brilliant I definitely recommend listening as well as reading! I waited until both Tequila Rose and Autumn Night Whiskey were both released and then I purchased them at the same time. I read both books in the same day.The read was easy enough. It flowed and gave you all the elements you look for in a romance. Mystery, chemistry, angst, longing and so much more. I enjoyed Brody and everything that came with his character. And Magnolia was ever evolving as the story went on.As far as Willow Winters work goes, this was by far the most unexpected read. It was very different then most of her other work and it was surprising. But none the less, it was well written and refreshing to have such a romantic tragedy written in the throws of heartache, loss and confusion, but with an ending that was just right.Spoiler for anyone not read Tequila Rose yet...*****The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars, unlike almost every other book I've read from Willow, is because the romance factor involves a love triangle. Admittedly, it is not your standard love triangle, but that is not something I've ever been a fan of in my reading. And if I know a book has it, I won't read it. Ultimately, Magnolia makes the decision that we want and know is right for her, but towards the middlish, when she is with her ex, that wasn't cool and I think was a really awful thing to do. But the end result is lovely and Magnolia and Brody get each other and their little family is finally complete.

This is my first read of willow winters and because of how much I fell in love with magnolia and Brody it won’t be my last. This book has so much emotion but most of all the hero is just everything you want. The undeniable love between them had my heart jumping out of my chest. This is sort of a love triangle with two male leads that you will not be able to choose from.I hope to get to read more of Robert but I’m going to run off now and read Asher’s.

A nice read and good characters.It leaves you wanting more. It’s an interesting book that makes you question the story and where it is heading.

This book is hot and emotional! Definitely worth reading!I think I already knew the answer about the paternity, but I'm also glad it turned out the way it did.Willow also changed my mind about Robert, he really is a good guy!I highly recommend reading these books!
