What does Blister mean?

Not sure but Blister sometimes describes the packaging used to protect a product. The leads are in a plastic case.

Are their different colors for this type of lead??

I don’t think they have different colors but this carpenters pencil is super awesome! The brightly colored sheath means the pencil always goes back where it should and you can mechanically advance the lead so there is no sharpening. I used to sharpen two pencils every morning before I started work now I don’t have to.
