Finally! Perfect LED Lights!
I've had a number of LED lights of varying quality as I've tried to do different things in different areas of my house, but I've never seen a set as exceptional as these!HOW I USED THEM:I had installed a set of LED lights in my kitchen and they were pretty decent. However, during installation of a new microwave oven, they were ruined. I thought these would be an excellent replacement and now I'm actually glad the old set broke! See the HIGHLIGHTS section for why!HIGHLIGHTS:All lines of LED lights I've seen come with a remote and have a few functions, from selecting single colors, to flashers, and fading. But this controller has something I always wanted and have never seen before...the ability to adjust the level of white lights (or turn them off completely!) which REALLY makes for some intense lighting! As well, the Fade feature is a lot smoother than any I've had in the past which has made this instantly my favorite LED lights!PROS:1. The LED line feels thicker (better made!) than others I've had in the past.2. The colors as absolutely vivid! Most of the time you hope to get decent color with other LED lines, but this really truly delivers!3. The remove is amazing. As I mentioned above, the ability to adjust, or completely remove, the white lights really sets these lights apart from any I've had in the past.CONS:No Cons...not one. These were a Perfect Five!

I would buy again but there are 4 things to think about.
I really like these but I am giving it three stars. I have four reasons why I’m giving it three stars. Not everyone will have the same problem with it as I do.The first reason is the sticky adhesive on the back is super weak, and not worth using. You would be better off getting your own 3M strips to have it stick to where you want. The second is I put mine on the back of my TV and the strip has a hard time doing a 90 degree angle. You will need to find a way that works for you.The third reason is that the remote has to be aimed perfectly at the unit for it to change colours and so forth. At first I thought my remote was broken because it wouldn’t turn on.The fourth and biggest complaint of mine would be that the remote to my Insignia TV (Best Buy brand), will change the lights better than the remote. Volume up is fade, volume up is red, 1 is blue, Menu is something else and so forth. Not every button on the remote will do something to the lights, but about half do.Would I buy this again? Yes. For the price it is GREAT. I plan on getting more for other places in my home. I know this sounds like a negative review, but I do like these and would recommend them to others. People just need to understand that when you pay this little, you are not getting the best quality. Not saying these are bad, they just aren’t the best.

Great lights if used properly
So my first order had a small 6" section where the LED lights wouldn't match the rest of the lights in the rope. They worked, but if the strand was green this small section of lights was red or blue. Just weird. But after I was refunded I tried again because the lights really are perfect for small applications like my bar cabinet lights. They would also be great for custom carpentry projects like a poker table, etc. People who didn't like the amount of lumens put off by these lights are improperly applying these lights! Why would anyone want a small set of LED rope lighting for a workable counter top space in a kitchen? Use a larger LED light strip fixture! Unfair to say these lights aren't bright enough. Stupidity. Use these lights properly and be careful installing them. If I opened a restaurant I would definitely use them in a ceiling application for ambiance. I just want to smack people who thing rope LED lighting should be used for work spaces. Thats like me using my headlamp to prep in my kitchen instead of turning on the darn lights! I use my headlamp for grilling outside in the dark or working in a crawlspace.......once again people; proper application is key in any lighting job.

Holds in place well on my painted wall
This light strip is really easy to set up. There are 20 light color options to choose from and they are all very pretty. There are also a lot of choices for patterns and speeds of light, like jump, flash, quick and slow, but I only use a solid light because all of the flashing/blinking/fading in and out triggers vertigo for me so I avoid them. You can also choose the brightness of the lights. This set also has two different on/off switches. Every other light on this set has the capability of being colored or white. One on/off switch controls those specific lights. The other on/off controls the remaining lights on the string, which are constantly white. We live in an older home that was never wired for overhead lights in our living room, although they exist in the rest of the house. Instead of always using floor lamps, I thought these would be pretty to run along our ceiling for a softer overall light. By choosing different colors it's easy to set the mood of the room. My favorite is blue unless I want the brighter effect of all white lights. For that I set both sets of controls on the light to white. When I use blue, I completely turn off the white set of lights because I don't care for the blue/white/blue/white look down the whole strip. The adhesive on this strip of lights is a 3M foam strip which works really well to hold it in place, even against my painted walls which have a slight bumpy pattern caused by painting with a roller. During the day the light strip is hardly noticeable against the off-white walls, but when it gets dark and I turn the lights on I'm pleased with how well they light up my living room (see photos). I actually have a strip of these lights on both sides of the room, but these photos are taken with a single string on.
