The box is cheaply made. The hinges are loose, and I thought the hinge screws needed tightening. Nope. Lying flat on the counter, there's a wobble. I turned it over and saw a huge crack through the entire bottom piece. HOWEVER, the inside of the box holds my tea just how I wanted. I like the idea how each compartment can be configured to what you desire. I attached a picture of what I did with my tea. I have eight different teas, so I took the middle dividers out. What is shown is 10 sachets in each compartment.

I bought a unit that had been returned, and I can see why somebody would have rejected it. It just doesn't fit together very well. The lid doesn't quite seat, and the latch can't quite reach. The moveable internal partitions aren't quite uniform, but neither are the slots into which they fit. So it takes a little bit of puzzle solving to find each piece a slot, and then to wiggle the tight fits into place.I'm keeping it, because it'll serve my purpose, and it was a good price. The bamboo seems to be high-quality. But it has the feel of something that would be sold to mid-income families in a Third World bazaar. Maybe it will take on some charm over the years, but it doesn't start out with much.

First, I had to use a needle-nose pliers to hold dividers while I wiggled open the box. Next, I was afraid I was going to break the thing when I took the dividers out. Then the sanding. Oh, sweet lord, the sanding... To get the pieces back in, I had to sand each one's end (warped box and long dividers) and curved edges (the nature of bamboo). I did this by hand because I didn't want the bamboo to split or shred. Now everything fits. Time to close it up and oil the top. But wait! The lid is bowed down in the middle on both sides, making it impossible to latch shut! So tomorrow, more sanding. Yippee. I suggest buying something made of wood. It will likely be less labor intensive than this. Heck, MDF would be fine if you have a dry place for it. I'm giving it three stars because it will be a suitable piece once I'm done. If it was constructed well, five stars.

I really like that I can remove the dividers, box is sturdy, holds lots of tea bags the fact that you can remove the dividers is a huge plus since some teas come in different type of packages, some round or tall, that cannot fit in other boxes similar to this one, love this product

I bought this for myself but it’s beautiful and would make a great gift for a tea lover.

I didn't give it a 5 as the image on the lid could be a little better. Not very visible.. but the box is nice.

Very heavy as previously stated. Wood is split at the top but no one will notice as I keep it in my cabinet. Holds all my tea so I can’t complain. Better than having a ton of tea boxes cluttering my cabinet!

I’m very happy with the product even though it had a purple of imperfections. One of them is a slight crack on the top part of the box. The other is one of the compartments was offset as it is shown on the pic, but I was able to fix it by very gently using a towel then very, very gently hammer it in its place. Please do not try to do this if you’re not used to bamboo. It’s strong, but very delicate at the same time. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I love the moveable compartments and the embossed design on top.

some of the dividers inside don't fit properly, I had to use a chisel to modify the grooves they fit into in order to make them fit.
