The suction cup falls off glass in the high heat of summer. It's no good coming back to your car at the grocery store to find the cam swinging by its power cord. This new mount works great and I don't foresee any problems. My only big complaint is that there is no way to mount the cam off to the right of the rear view mirror (out of my sight). Instead it can only sit directly below the mirror, impeding my view of the road. It's not enough to really affect my driving in an unsafe manner, but it bothers me. I'm sure I'll get used to it given time. **A minor complaint is that I had to shave off some plastic on the portion that is inserted into my cam, which is a G1W-C, in order for it to work. Not a gigantic problem, but it would be if I weren't mechanically inclined enough to fix the problem.**Overall, it's a decent mount, in that it will keep my cam mounted properly, if not aesthetically, with some modification to make it work. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Needs modification for some cameras. *by S***L on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2016* This device is ok. It is cataclysmically cheap. Be cautious of how you're threading the nut, if it's off in the slightest it can damage the threads. Chinese steel has gotten much better recently, it's time for Chinese plastic to catch up. Ultimately I bought this for my Toguard 2.0 wide eye and I had to modify one of the brackets with a Dremel to get it to fit on it.Once you get past those limitations, it does what it says it does. I might recommend it to a friend if there's improvements in the build quality. Right now it feels like a child's toy from a dollar store. If you use it too much, it's bound to break. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Dash Cam Mount *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2017* This is as professional a mount as I have seen. The long plastic thumb nuts for the mount are awesome. Tighten as needed, but not to tight. Thumb nuts have a metal nut in them. The ball accessories will fit pretty much any mount you may need. It does come with 6 mount/ball units for various product mounts (See description) The mount is rock solid on the mirror shaft.Couldn't be better.
