Plastic, not metal housing. Not exactly as described on the web page! I purchased this particular right angle drill attachment, because of the "all metal housing", in the description on Amazon. Sadly, the entire housing is cast/extruded plastic. This accessory is light duty and will work to put a few slow speed holes through studs and plates, but I wouldn't push it too fast or too hard. It spins fairly freely, considering that it is a simple two gear design, without the necessary ball bearing supported shafts - enclosed in a metal housing. The chuck is a little stiff as it took some work to get it opened up enough for a 3/8" shank bit. For the price, this tool is likely A good bargain, but if it fails early, I will update this review. Did the job intended. Not for use for repetitive or prolonged use. Gears will strip. Be very gentle or you will soon understand

Had a few screws in a hard to reach spot to get in and this product did just what it advertised. No problems. Wish it was a keyless chuck but otherwise great.

I bought it to drill 2 holes in a fiberglass boat to mount a gps under my windshield. ( it was either this or removing the windshield ) Doubt it would drill many holes in anything metal.

I wouldn't be able to fix the broken thread on my car engine without this great tool. Very effective in tight areas and fits perfect to most drilling needs.

This is an inexpensive version of an occasionally useful device. It arrived quickly and did the job. No complaints. If you needed this all the time, it would probably be better to buy a right angle drill.
