MS-4400B

Excellent tire gauges. I already had an identical one with a different brand on it, and had taken it to a tire shop to check against their reference gauge, it is as accurate as you can ask for. I just bought two of these Accutires to put in our other cars. When I first tested a tire with all three, there was quite a discrepancy in the readings, but then I remembered seeing that you can calibrate these by just barely letting a little air into the gauge a couple times with a few seconds between each pass. after I did this with each new one, they read identical to my old one. The one feature that would make these better would be a button to release air but that likely would compromise the gauge

I purchased this item based on ratings in CR for accuracy and value. The accuracy I have to assume - I have compared readings using this unit with those obtained from an analog gauge attached to my compressor and they seem to correlate fairly well. That's not saying that the analog gauge is better - it isn't - only that there is nothing obviously wrong with either. What's definitely good about this gauge is that it can be used with a wide range of valve stems. I've got quick and easy results with an SUV, upscale sedan with tire pressure monitors, a covered utility trailer and a monster 20 ft landscape trailer. Highly recommended.

CR had this as a top-rated item, so I got it for accuracy and ease of use. The accuracy seems OK, but the usage takes a little getting used to. Once the gauge is properly seated on the valve, it works great. But it takes a little learning to get it seated properly--otherwise it just recalibrates itself to 0. Mine got thoroughly recalibrated before I got more accustomed to how to get a good reading. But I DO think that I'm getting a much more accurate reading than with my old stick gauge.

I bought this feeling a little unsure if I wanted a digital battery powered meter. I'm kinda old school , liking the non battery power dial gauges since their is less to go wrong. I used this on 3 tires and it worked great. I was able to check my accuracy of my 10 year old gauge 2" dial gauge which had the exact same readings. On the 4th tire it read 80psi on a tire that had about 30 psi. I tried different tires and either get the high reading or no reading at all and tried cleaning the end. Talk about a let down. Well at least I know my old gauge works just fine. Even with the 3 tires it worked well on, you have to hold it just right on the valve stem and for a couple seconds till you get a reading. I think there would be problems on some hard to reach valve stems on my Lawn mower and Tractor.

This tool is picky when it comes to valve stems. Not all valve stems are made equal. The mechanism that opens up the valve for reading is rather short. So instead of valve and tool meeting 50/50. Valve has to be one of those that sticks out making it more like 70/30. So if your tires have one of those shorter valves. This thing wont reach. overall its precise and accurate to the .5 psi level.

Been using this tire pressure gauge for years now it has served me well. Seems accurate and is very consistent.

Got this gauge after researching them online. This one is the easiest and best rated. Only suggestion for future design would be to have the LCD display on the top edge of the pistol-style nose. Because there is no back light you have to turn the device sideways to read it (with a flashlight) in the dark. Other than that small design change, this is a simple, accurate device that should last me a long time

I would not recommend this Accutire model pressure gauge. I wanted or order Accutire model MS-4021B but it was not available. I have a MS-4021B already, liked it, and wanted to get a couple more for my wife and daughter's cars. This one seemed like a newer model so I ordered this one. However, after using this on our vehicles I noticed the vehicle's TMPS system readings of my truck and my wife's car were different than the Accutire gauge by several PSI. This of course was a concern. I then checked the tires again with two other gauges (the Accutire MS-4021B and Tiretek analog gauge), and found that this MS-4400B did not give an accurate tire pressure reading. I returned it. I would recommend the MS-4021B or the Trek analog dial gauge.., both top rated.
