Not the usual Yamaha standards
Not a recommendation this time from Yamaha , CONS : Not the usual Yamaha audio quality, worst User interface , not at all user friendly ,delay in transitions , un expected freeze on the inputs while scrolling , remote control interaction is not to a quality as expected. Poor ergonomics ,two sub outs but not discrete. Numerous inputs available but not for legacy PROS: Good form Movie enthusiast who looks for future 8K , has 7 hdmi IN and One HDMI out , TOSLINK ,has a phono input available , Great aesthetics ,It has wifi but no wifi-direct. Has a bluetooth transmitter and receiver dont know if the transmitter could be used for Bluetooth enabled Subs same time while using other inputs. CONCLUSION :Not even value for what you pay looking to the market alternatives apparently. The size is just a blow up for marketing. No where in comparison to the Flagships of Yamaha itself and no where in line with the Economical Denons and Marantz versions. Felt regretful after the purchase and usage. Not a recommendation this year if you are going cheaper. remarks : could have put a better graphical interface for 2020 , the accessibility for Network security key inputs are cumbersome , Could have made it more ergonomically interactive.

not great user experience
this has very bad UI, you don't get direct source selection from the remote, only next and previous, however the AVR does not tell you which source is selected now, so you fumble around up and down if you have many sources connected to get what you want, very annoying.

Dolby vision compaitable
I just this week purchased a Yamaha Rx-v6a. No matter what I try I cannot get Dolby vision to pass through the receiver. I can get Dolby vision directly plugged into the TV. The TV is a tcl 65r615. I have bought certified hdmi 2.1 hdmi cables. Yes I know it's not 2.1 but I wanted to rule out the cables. I cannot run arc for the surround sound because it does not pass all of the audio formats my receiver is capable of. I am using an nvidia shield pro 2019. Hdr works fine. Just when I turn on Dolby vision and play something from Disney + or Netflix with Dolby vision my video feed changes orange and Dolby vision doesn't play, even I change HDMI mode as well but it's not working. Any help would be appreciated
